    About the author, I have worked in this field of security and police work for twenty five years, I was born in Arkansas, and my parents moved to Los Angeles when I was about fifteen years of age, I am the seventh child of 13 children, I had a very good life been partly Raised in a small town, we raised all of the food we ate, I know what it is to ride a horse, feed the animal, milk the cow, to raise a garden, to pick berries, the Good Life! But when You are a child you do not realize what is good and what could be better. I know what it is to taste the onion in the cow’s milk, but it was the good old days, they are behind me now! I have been writing for a decade, I published my first poem with who is who In Poetry with, Glenn Campbell in 1995, volume III. I have won many poet awards, Golden poet, silver poet, in 1989 I won my first award. I attended a poetry gathering in Las Vegas Nevada in 1995, there were over 4000, poets, this was a wonderful event. Poetry and writing have been a big part of my life.       This book is being written, because I checked many book stores searching for this information and not finding any, I decided it would be worthwhile for many young people, middle age, or retired people wanting, extra money to supplement their regular income, or for a permanent source of income. While the pay is good, sometime the experience requirements may not be a requirement at all times, as training is necessary to received the required documents. Some positions require training and a high school Diploma, while others may hire from experience.

      If you meet the age requirement, and are in good physical condition, I hope that this book will assist in helping you to find a good job in security making good money.

      INTRODUCTION

      I have been inspired to write this book based on past experiences in law Enforcement, and working in the field of security. I began over 25 years ago working as a reserve police officer for the City of Los Angeles, I graduated from the Academy that lasted almost six Months, the training was very good, there were many challenges, but I made it through all of the tough training.

      I was about 29 years old, and had three Children and my husband would keep them in the afternoon, and on weekends, while I attended the Academy. The biggest obstacle that I had was attending my mother’s funeral on my graduation day from the Police Academy.

      During the training, we were taught many things, Laws of Arrest, Search and Seizure, Drivers Training, Weaponless Defense, Weapons training and much more, this training was life changing. I will be forever grateful to the Los Angeles Police Academy, I worked at the 77th Division for two years, I worked in Neighbor hood Programs, worked the oral boards, selecting new explorer scouts, I worked at the Police Academy with Explorer Scouts, and a number of other duties, which led me to making Top! dollar.

      Because of this training I took the exam for Los Angeles County Safety Police, I was successful, received a good score, and began working Immediately, I started working as An officer ( I ) the Department was not fully certified as police, when I joined, but after 21 years of working on the job, I advanced to Safety officer ( III ) making over $3,000.00 a month. The Department
