About this ebook

Whether you realize it or not, God's people are involved in a spiritual battle against the forces of darkness. Satan has come as a thief To Steal, To Kill, & To Destroy. God never intended for His people to be fearful of Satan, his demonic attacks, or threats. Jesus death, burial, and resurrection gave believers victory over Satan and his demonic influences in their lives. Through Jesus life's example we can cast out demons, rebuke Satan, and take authority over the powers of darkness. God has equipped every believer with all the necessary weapons and armor to defeat the enemy. I admonish you to discover the truth through God's word and begin to declare the word over your life so that every chain of bondage, generational curse, bad habit(s), and old mind-sets can be broken off your life.

    Dedication

This book is dedicated to my three beloved children, Tyresha Lewis, Zephanasia Lewis, and George Lewis Jr.

I thank God that He has blessed me to be your mother during this time that we have on earth. I do not take this awesome responsibility lightly and I promise to pray for you and seek wisdom on how to care for you all.

I commit you all back into the hands of our Father in heaven and I speak blessing on your lives.

    Acknowledgements

To my Heavenly Father, The Holy Spirit, and Jesus Christ.

Without all three of you working in my life, this book would not be possible. You are my salvation, my peace, my joy, my counselor, my strength, my provider, my healer, my protector, and my very present help in the time of trouble. You are my first love and more than life to me.

To My husband George who has grown with me over the years. Thanks for hanging in there during some of the toughest times of our lives. My life experience with you has taught me patience, unconditional love, perseverance, and how to trust in God. You are truly a blessing to the body of Christ, and to our family. I am honored to be your wife.

To Pastor Clark and the Rivers of Living Water Church body, thanks for your prayers and support for my family. God has truly blessed this ministry to go forth and do exploits for the kingdom of God in the name of Jesus. Your labor in the work of the Lord is not in vain, and you will be rewarded from our Father in Heaven.

To my mother Theresa and brothers and sister residing in Oklahoma City, I love you all very much. I pray that you will receive all that God has for you and that you will allow God to richly bless your lives as He has blessed mine.

To my beloved spiritual mother in Christ Evangelist Parker. Your love for Gods daughters has not gone unnoticed. You are blessed among women and I am truly blessed for the opportunity to share in your friendship. Thanks for all your prayers and words of wisdom. Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.

    Titus 2:4

To my brother and sister in the Lord - Hilton and Aurora Wells. Thank you for exemplifying true friendship. You are friends that stick closer than a brother and sister. Love you both very much.

My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this that he lay down his life (sacrifice something of value) for his friends.

    John 15: 12-13

The Words of Our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ

"The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, because the LORD has anointed Me

To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,

To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD,

And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn,

To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes,

    The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;

That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified." And they shall rebuild the old ruins,

They shall raise up the former desolations, and they shall repair the ruined cities,

The desolations of many generations. Strangers shall stand and feed your flocks,

And the sons of the foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers.

But you shall be named the priests of the LORD,

They shall call you the servants of our God.

You shall eat the riches of the Gentiles,

And in their glory you shall boast.

Instead of your shame you shall have double honor,

And instead of confusion they shall rejoice in their portion.

    Therefore in their land they shall possess double;

    Everlasting joy shall be theirs.

    Introduction

Therefore My people go into captivity [to their enemies] without knowing it and because they have no knowledge [of God].

    Isaiah 5:13

If you are reading this book, chances are you would like to experience the power of God in your life, you are tired of being defeated by the enemy, or you are going through a tough situation in your life and you want to know how the enemy and God fits into all of this. Either way, I have good news for you. This book is going to provide answers to many of your questions, and also challenge you to get to know your God in a more intimate way. It will also help you recognize the enemy behind the scenes in your situations. My key purpose for writing this book is to share the word of God and my own personal experience so that I can provide a clear picture of how great your God is and how little your enemy really is. Let’s start with a familiar passage in the bible (this is a lengthy passage and I will skip around a bit to cover some key points, to get the full passage read the entire chapter of 1 Samuel 17). 1Samuel 17: 4-10: And there went out a champion out of the camp of the Philistines, named Goliath, of Gath, whose height was six cubits and a span. And he had a helmet of brass upon his head, and he was armed with a coat of mail; and the weight of the coat was five thousand shekels of brass. And he had greaves of brass upon his legs and a target of brass between his shoulders. And the staff of his spear was like a weaver’s beam; and his spear’s head weighed six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield went before him. And he stood and cried unto the armies of Israel, and said unto them, Why are ye come out to set your battle in array? Am not I a Philistine, and ye servants to Saul? Choose you a man for you, and let him come down to me. If he be able to fight with me, and to kill me, then will we be your servants: But if I prevail against him, and kill him, then shall ye be our servants, and serve us. And the Philistines said, I defy the armies of Israel this day; give me a man, that we may fight together.

This passage provides a clear description of Goliath the philistine. It describes his height and according to his armor we can conclude that Goliath was huge; there was nothing puny or tiny about him. Not only is Goliath huge, strong, and courageous, he wants to put the Israelites to a challenge. How would you respond in this situation? After all, Goliath is a giant and appears to be big enough to carry out his threat. Let’s see how the Israelites responded in verse 11: When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid. Now after seeing Goliath and hearing his challenge it would seem pretty logical for the Israelites to be afraid. However, in reality should the Israelites have allowed fear to overtake them, although nothing had happened? Besides, God had already performed great miracles for the children of Israel, would God abandoned them now? Take a moment and look at your situation, I mean get a good look. If you are going through something very difficult right now, it could be a life threatening diseases, divorce, job loss, homelessness, loss of a loved one etc. I want you to know that God is bigger than all of this. Yeah, I know that you are saying this is easier said than believing and if you are feeling this way right now, I understand because I
