This is story when I growing in Poland, And I was about thirteen year old, and how learn about Christmas Eve Dinner, And we share the wafer, from the oldest to the youngest. After dinner we when to Midnight Mass. Then the war came and Germans arrive at my house and took me to farm in Germany, and after the war I came to America with Daughter, Husband in 1951. And now kept the Polish tradition of Christmas Eve even in 2004.

- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I can't understand how this book was even published. I found at least 5 grammatical mistakes on the first page! I live in Poland but I was born and brought up in the UK and in comparison to the author's English my English is flawless.

One day in New York City, there was a girl name, Joanne, and she had wonderful parents, and they told her that she could, pick out a Christmas tree, after thanksgiving.
But Joanne couldn’t wait, to get a Christmas tree, so she walk down, to the store, where they were selling tree, and she asked the mister, which tree should I pick, and buys?.
At first he didn’t pay attention to her, then about half hour later, and said this one, is right for you, Joanne. the perfect tree.
But how do know my name? Sir, well I seen you last year with yours parents, and I heard them calling yours name. Joanne.
Joanne was little bit worry about that man was lying to about how he knew her.
All the way home, Joanne stop and looked both ways, and make sure that she not being follow, by that man.
When she got to the door, the door man open up the door and she step into the elevator, and when up.
Then she open up the door, and looked and she saw a Christmas tree, that she saw about half hour later, and the man was standing there, with a smile.
Joanne ran in and called out mommy and daddy, and they both came, and they said sweet heart, do like this tree? Yes mommy and daddy.
Later that night, Joanne, sat on the couch and looked at the tree, and it was beautiful with an angel on top.
About 10 minute later, Joanne, had to go sleep, and Joanne, wanted to stay a little longer.
The Christmas music playing and the bulbs and lights were on, and Joanne, wanted to sleep in the living room, couch, but her mom said ok, just tonight.
Joanne, got ready for bed and when on the couch with her blanket and pillow, and watched her Christmas tree, and her parents when to bed.
The next morning, Joanne, got up and looked at her tree, and said we must get some presents, under the tree, and baby Jesus.
When Joanne looked at the Christmas tree, it had a little twinkle and little stars.
But she tried to tell her parents that the tree is magic, they wouldn’t believe her.
One night before Christmas Eve, Joanne, called her mom and dad, to watch the tree, but they said honey were very busy, because we are going to have company for Christmas Eve.
Joanne asked if Katie and Bobby were coming over that day. And she said yes!
They are going to love our Christmas tree.
When Joanne sat down, and started to stare at the Christmas tree, and fell asleep.
And her mom picks her up and took her to bed, and turn off the lights.
Before she went to sleep, the Christmas tree, lights were on again!
Later that night, there was a bad storm and all the city lights were out, but the Christmas tree was on! And she didn’t know how to explains, about that tree.
And everyone’s in the building called Karen, and Steve, about them having lights, during the black out.
But Karen didn’t know what to say, but probably we have a magical tree.
So her neighbor got angry and hung up the phone, and Karen said she was rude to me.
But dear don’t pay an attention to her we will invite her to our party tomorrow.
And we could celebrate the holiday together.
Today is Christmas Eve, December 24 2004, and in the big apple.
My family live, on the 19th floor of this building, and we have a magical tree.
Joanne told all her friends about her Christmas tree, but know one believe her.
Tonight they will be everyone over to the Christmas party at there, place, so shown off the tree, and Joanne and her friends will be singing Christmas carol and eating good foods, and even opening up the gifs.
But the children don’t know there will be a special guest, at the party.
Joanne and her friends went into the living room, to sit next toe the tree.
Then Joanne called out to her, mom and said, what happen to the lights, mommy.
Her mom check the plugs and everything was fine, and her mom brought the candle, because, suddenly the lights when out.
Now it is about hour later, and no lights and they sat with candles and flashlights.
Time when by, and Joanne and her friends, were sitting very quiet, and about half hour later, when the light came back on, Joanne, was gone.
Joanne, mom and dad search for there, daughter, and the guest put the switch for the Christmas tree, but were not light up.
About two hours they called the police that there, daughter was, missing.
Meanwhile, Joanne, and Laura when to the toys store, to see the there tree, on way there was a man in a blue van, and watched those two girls.
Joanne and Laura got into the store, and looked at the baby dolls.
But Laura said we should back to yours home, now! But Laura left Joanne, in the store, and she walked by the man, in the blue van, and then she was about to go inside, Laura was kidnap by that man.
Meanwhile Joanne asked questions, and how much are baby doll in the pink dress.
And he said about $45.00 and some are more then that.
But I like this one, so please hold this one for me, sir, and then she said bye and when back home.
On the way, home Joanne, didn’t notice the blue van around, then she cross the street from her house, and then she saw a Police man, going,into her building.
Joanne waited to cross and then she ran inside, and the door man, said where would you? That is not yours business, sir.
And Joanne when into the elevator to the 19th floor, and walked, in and her mom and dad were very happy to see her, and then Joanne, asked, where is Laura?
Laura parents came up to Joanne and said, where is my baby girl? I thought she came back here! Because she didn’t want to look at the baby dolls with me, and she left.
But she didn’t come back, so what happen? Well mommy we saw a blue van parked across the store and the van had Vermont plates JR 7778. And Laura mom knew that it was her ex husband
