About this ebook

Pick pocketing is a lost art
A rare sunshiny day in Seattle, a pick pocket, and his hand off partner are working at lunch. Unfortunately for them, Detective Rage and patrolman Jones are having lunch outside. The suspects are both taken to the grass and cuffed. But Detective Rage is staring at a revolver as she starts to get up. The gunman tells the pick pocket to get up and run away.
Detective Rage has no visible weapon in her right hand as she stands up. She is holding her right hands fingers wide apart. In the next instant the gunman is hit with three rounds from a Colt 45 Detective Rage is holding in her left hand. The pick pocket and partner are taken into custody.
Several hours later the suspects, Rage and Jones are racing in Rage’s car to the home of the pick pockets. Their baby, baby sitter and everyone else run out of the sliding door of the house. Jones kicks holes in the neighbor’s wooden fences to escape the house. After leaving the house an explosion levels it.
They all go into hiding.

Meanwhile a pair of gaming programmers want to make it big and quite their jobs they now have. They hack, steal, and borrow code where ever they can find it at night at home.
The gamers hope to sell a new game, but other people are interested in it for other reasons.

    Chapter 1 Chief’s Meeting

In the Seattle Police Chief’s meeting, after the dust had settled on their first transfer of staff between divisions. they are discussing it, see the ‘Transfer Case’.

A senior Chief says, It appears that every time Detective Rage gets involved in a case, dead bodies start to pile up.

From the far end of the table comes, I would like to see Detective Rage swapped into Personnel.

Even the Administrative Chief chuckles at the suggestion.

The Assistant Chief of Police says, We need to be very selective in our next swap, but it would not hurt those in administration to get their hands a little dirty.

The rookie homicide Detective Janett Rage has been on the force for almost eight years. A homicide Detective maybe considered a rookie up to eight years. She is bright, aggressive, and dedicated to the job. She takes a fair amount of ribbing about her last name and the color of her hair. It usually goes on until they see her empty a clip of sixteen rounds at 30 yards into a 2-inch circle. If that is not enough, she will crack a few ribs, and she will do it again in the gym.

Three years earlier, she had completed the Detective training course at the academy. She finished in second place, the other woman there finished 12th out of the fifteen total candidates. In such a large metropolitan police force, her new duty assignment could have been one of many. She did not know until Monday after graduation her exact assignment.

Detective Rage has been with the Homicide Inspector Strong for almost three years.

Just seven days after graduation and four days on the job Detective Rage shows up for duty, and she finds herself in a fatal multiple shooting investigation. The rookie Detective Rage has been involved in more fatal multiple shooting investigations than most see in a lifetime. This does not count the ones she
