About this ebook
Gemma at Rainbow Farm. The Beginning is a story about seven year old Gemma who moves with her family from a town to their new home at Rainbow Farm.
As she goes off to explore the farm, she meets a special guide, an old red hen named Carol who takes her to meet the animals and birds that live on the farm. She is delighted when she discovers that the animals and birds can all talk to each other, and to her.
Her new friend tells Gemma about the magical place she has moved to, and just what is possible with the aid of a little magic and some special friends.

Gemma At Rainbow Farm – The Beginning
Are we there yet dad?
asked Gemma for at least the 27th time as her dad drove their big estate car along a bumpy, winding road.
Not long now,
he said with a smile, maybe another 10 minutes or so.
Gemma fidgeted in her seat, as the car seemed to be going ever so slowly.
She was excited. They were moving out of the town where they had lived all their lives and onto a farm her mom and dad had been left by an elderly relative of her mom's. Gemma had never lived in the country before so did not have any idea what to expect at all.
She was also quite sad. They were leaving behind all of her friends and everything that was normal to her.
She did not know if there would be any nice shops at the new place, or if there would be anyone her own age that would become her friend. She hoped there would be, she did not want to be lonely.
Mom turned around and looked at Gemma, Are you tired with all the traveling?
she asked.
Gemma nodded It’s been ages, and I want to see what our new home is like mom,
she said, "it seems like such a long way from our old home, that I am not sure I will ever be able to find my way back
