About this ebook

While on a business trip to Toronto, 54-year-old Lauren Matthews vanishes without a trace. Quick-tempered Emily, her teenage daughter, is convinced that it's all her fault. But her husband Jake has his own reasons for believing she left of her own volition.

Two years later, during a family wedding in the Dominican Republic, Emily finds her mother. But this is not Lauren. This is Sarah Langley, a carbon copy of Lauren.

Emily and her family are convinced that this is Lauren, but Sarah and her elusive husband have proof that she is not. Jake can't shake the feeling that something is not right and that Sarah is somehow linked to his wife's disappearance. After seeing a picture of Lauren, Sarah is shaken and even a little scared. Who the hell is Lauren Matthews? That's a question that haunts Sarah. But worse, what happened to her? Could her parents have done the unthinkable? Could she be in danger too? Should she team up with Lauren's family to uncover the truth, or can she really trust them?

The Search for Ladybug is a book about how far one would go for love and how much further despair can take you.

Anne Ferguson

Anne Ferguson was born in Tracadie, New Brunswick, Canada. When she was 18 years old, she moved to Florida where she attended a fashion college for a year. She then returned to her hometown and obtained various diplomas in Medical Transcription, Pharmacy Assistant and a Bachelor’s degree in Adult Education. After nearly 28 years of teaching for the New Brunswick Community College, and with retirement just around the corner, Anne needed something to keep her busy, something she could call her own. A longtime daydreamer, she decided to start writing and discovered she loved it. Her many years as a teacher in the Medical Transcription and Pharmacy Assistant programs came in handy in this process. The Search for Ladybug is her first novel, but many more are living inside her head. Anne loves spending time with her family. She adores her two children (plus one from a previously married spouse), and her granddaughter. She works a few months out of the year as a part-time supply teacher and sometimes helps her sister in law at her bakery. When the cold weather hits, she escapes to Acapulco for a few months where she enjoys reading, writing, listening to music (real loud), walking on the beach and drinking wine with her friends.
