About this ebook

Freedom is not free. There is a cost for the freedom we enjoy. There is a price paid for liberty. Nothing in this world is free, as we are not entitled. Have we become a nation, a society, a world lacking gratefulness and humility? We are in the midst of handing over our freedoms for distractions, being deceived by an ease that will secure our bondage not only for this world but for all eternity.

C. Rae Johnson

Writing has been in my blood my whole life, even as a nurse & personal trainer but life always got in the way to pursue it further. That was until a life changing event changed my world, but offered me the time to finally write. I was sidelined by a Traumatic Brain Injury and developed Post-Concussion Syndrome but by the grace of God I was able to complete books and am continuing to do so. My life altering event shows how good can come out of bad. I strive to educate others through empathy, compassion & experience relating to our common needs, offering real solutions and practical ways of help, inspiring hope for a future. There is so much more than meets the eye and no one should ever give up. I'm living proof of that! We all need to persevere and just keep going, even through our difficult times in life. I'm giving back through my writing, for the Grace that was given unto me. Let's all become Battle Ready!*A Donation will be made to Hopes House Kenya Orphans for every book purchase. Dedication

This book is dedicated to my Heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, in honor of Him.

It is with an appreciation that I cannot even begin to display, to be graced in the giving of my life to my Savior in all ways, including through the writing of my books.  This particular book is going out to a lost nation, a lost people; a lost world.  Time is short.  Seek Salvation today.

May God Bless all who read this as you seek Him

    FREEDOM IS NOT FREE

    NOT NOW

    NOT EVER

    Freedom is Not Free!

Walk with me if you will, just for a short while, a moment in time really, to explore an exciting and fascinating world.  The visual, what the eyes perceive, is both captivating and very inviting.  Nature adds to this brilliant view with creations of plant life in full bounty.  The animals, the insects, the species of many, too much to even count.

This bountiful and beautiful world is earth.  The inhabitants, the people, are plenty as well as diverse, in appearance, speech, talent and wisdom.  They have begun to create their own inventions, their own creations as they themselves multiply, with attempts to make life even more splendid, more abounding in ease.

We are awestruck in amazement to the point of only wanting to see more, to witness their daily activities.  Wow, what a place to be!  It is as if there is so much liberty all about, as virtually everyone has their choices planted before their gaze, with infinite possibilities at hand.

But, where did they all come from?  It’s just beyond comprehension trying to imagine their origin, whether sudden or over time.  Surely however, there does not seem to be any way possible that they could have evolved from each other.  No, not at all as they are each unique in their own design of features, thought processes, and emotional states of being; fearful if you will and most wonderfully made.

There just has to be more to this truly special creation with all that they are, as well as what they are capable of.  Their brains, the network of a vast and infinitely growing source of complex information, capable of continual learning all while completely controlling everything within the body, systems, organs, movement, growth, senses, hormones, every little thing to enable a human being, or even other mammals, insects, fish, reptiles, amphibians, or arthropods to both survive and thrive, as well as adapt to their environments, is beyond breathtaking, as it is specific for each lifeform.  There is an intelligent design housed within each, like no other.  But these human beings are truly amazing both in an inward artistry of intelligence, as well as outward.

Likewise, as we continue to envision learning about this seemingly free world, with our panoramic portrait of heavenly stars, sun, moon and clouds, we again find ourselves in awe of the beauty that is all around.  We wonder, does this creation we are witnessing, do these earthlings, these human beings even notice the glorious wonder all about them? Do they ever take the time to just look around and ponder in absolute amazement?  Do they ever gaze up to into the heavens and just stop all their hustling about?  If they did, or whoever does, would have to surely agree, it is awesome!

We sure notice the grandeur of it all.  I wish you could see what we see, what I see, and smell what I smell as the dainty and fragile petals of colorful and wonderful blooms fragrant the air most delightfully.  The scents are absolutely exquisite!  Everything just seems so majestic and truly beautiful.

Children are playing, animals are frolicking and people are laughing and celebrating many wondrous celebrations and ceremonies, including the joining of a husband and a wife in the bonds of Holy matrimony; a fleeting custom as time marches on, where there is a joining of two people, a male and a female, becoming as one flesh.  Everything seems to be so joyful for the creation upon this earth.

But, then we start to notice that something has crept in, into all of this beauty by intermingling and tainting, by deceiving and corrupting.   An evil force controlling the ways of people’s hearts and the operations of their minds is growing largely among them.  Some people seem to be oblivious to it all, yet others seem not only to acknowledge the evil, but enforce it to others as well.  It is acting like a plague that has come upon the earth, quickly consuming the world, one person at a time, yet multiplying just the same.  It is like a filth lingering about, beneath the beauty that was and could still be there.  ‘At least’, I ponder, ‘The beauty that does still exist, makes a worthwhile splendor for the upright at heart, living in this world’.

As time goes on, what is noticed more and more is a continual shift, as further darkness comes into view.  It is a darkness like no other, one that is terrifying to the core.  A loneliness sets in the hearts and mindsets of the generation alive now.  It is attached to a fear of proportions unimaginable.  Voids and deep caverns are within the hearts of many, as they try to fill them with earthly possessions, distractions, and the prides of self.  They are full beyond measure in a world of plenty, yet distraught in a miserable famine.  They are lacking quality time, deep connections with loved ones and mostly what every soul craves, a need to be in contact with their potter, their maker.

‘Don’t they even notice?’, I wonder.  ‘Don’t they even care?’  as evil abounds in the cold hearts of many now.  It is as if almost everyone has turned
