The conventional knowledge of the real causes of obesity lies in our understanding of gluten. This has been our number one villain for weight gain and other health problems from diabetes to autoimmune diseases. However, the renowned cardiologist, Dr. Steven Gundry shatters this notion in the Plant Paradox and get to the bottom of the problem revealing that gluten is one of the causes but is not the main cause.
A common and highly toxic plant-based protein called lectin is the biggest enemy. Lectins are found in the majority of plants from grains to fruits to grass, and it even spreads onto animals that consume lectin. This is, unsurprisingly, created by plants in order to protect itself from predators (including humans). This would create a negative effect on our guts causing all sorts of health problems from weight gain to serious health conditions.
Dr. Gundry has successfully treated thousands of patients suffering from various diseases from diabetes, heart diseases, autoimmune disorders, to neurodegenerative diseases. With the program called the Plant Paradox, he shares simple ways of improving our health by avoiding lectin consumption. Within the book, there are lists of what you can eat and what you ought to avoid as well as a cleansing plan in order to achieve your optimal health and improve your longevity.
The Plant Paradox shows unconventional, yet accurate, facts about what's "healthy" and what's truly healthy and will give you a whole new perspective about the foods you eat.

BOOK OVERVIEW
Dr. Gundry’s The Plant Paradox follows after the Diet Revolution. A lot of what we believe about food and health today are usually unfounded; with the idea that we are eating healthy, a number of diseases are still highly present today. Even when you believe your diet makes you healthy, why doesn’t it seem to work? There are a lot of different types of diet which you may have already tried along with some sort of physical training or exercise, it may seem to work for you for a period of time.
As you go through your exercise and diet, you may start gaining weight all over again and you would even feel terrible not eating the food you want. Doesn’t it make you wonder why it doesn’t seem to help you in the long run? First of all, when you begin to feel guilty about starting a diet, it’s important to repeat the affirmation, I am not to blame,
to yourself. Gaining weight despite your efforts is ultimately out of your volition. It’s just that there is a process causing this problem that people are not aware of.
In understanding the root causes of problems related to health, you will delve deeper into how it really works and how to resolve them
