About this ebook
(Submission Trilogy Book Two. This story is part of a series. While you can read it as a standalone, it’s not recommended.)
Boyd Poshmire is a wolf shifter and the best contractor in his pack. He runs his construction business like a well-oiled machine. If only his relationships would go as smoothly. Everything about him screams dominance but inside, Boyd is anything but. Boyd longs to be dominated, but because of his size, everyone he tries to get romantic with assumes he’s a top. After his brother’s mate suggests he have someone teach him the inner workings of a BDSM relationship, Boyd starts to think it’s exactly what he’s been looking for.
Maksim Delov is a Dragovi. A hybrid that is half dragon shifter and half vampire. Because of what he is, he’s lived a long life but it hasn’t been all cupcakes and roses. Years ago, Maksim lost something important and that loss has made him jaded. Maksim isn’t looking for love, or even a fated mate. When his friend suggests that Maksim teach his mate’s brother how to be a Dom, Maksim jumps at the chance to get a change of scenery. However, when he arrives in Mt. Rainier, Maksim gets more than he bargained for.
Maksim has lived through tremendous pain and suffering, but can he let go of the past and learn to let himself love again? Will Boyd finally be able to experience the kind of relationship he’s always wanted? Or will, the events of Maksim’s past keep them apart forever?

Well Ezra isn't my real name obviously but I liked the name so I decided to use it. I live at home with my five dogs and one cat. I started out writing hetero romance novels but it wasn't where my heart lied. I adore all things paranormal and M/M is by far my favorite genre so I decided to start writing Paranormal Romances. There's a guaranteed happy ending with each of my books even if it may take some time for my guys to get there. I love each and every character on the page as if they were my own children. It sounds weird but that’s how I feel about them. ? I’ve been writing for as long as I can remember but only started actively pursuing it as a career three years ago when I decided to stop working in a salon and pursue writing full time. Since I published my first book in 2014 I have written and released nine other books with many more to come. My current list of projects is longer than my arm so I look forward to writing and creating new stories for my readers to enjoy ?

I can still hear the screaming as if it only happened yesterday. It’s been nearly a hundred years, but it still feels so recent. The wound left in my heart is still just as raw. You’d think I’d have moved on by now but for some reason I can’t. Maybe I’m still living in the past but it’s so hard to let go. I lost everything I’ve ever held dear. After spending years in and out of the military, I decided to try settling down. While I’ll never regret the time I spent with my wife and son, I’ll forever feel remorse over not being able to save them.
Ever since I lost them, I haven’t let anyone else get close to me. Becoming an established Dom in the BDSM scene has helped me keep everyone at arms-length. Every time I take a sub, I make sure my rules are firmly laid out before we agree to anything. It’s kept my heart safe for years, but now, I find myself searching for something more than what I’ve been doing. Maybe I’m finally ready to move on, maybe not. Only time will tell.
Thanks to my friend, Aithusa, offering me the opportunity to train his mate’s brother as a Dom, I finally have the push I needed to start over. Well, to try to at least. Over the years, I’ve found that I do enjoy the lifestyle and my hope is that when I finally find a way to move on, that I’ll still be able to live as a Dom. As it stands, I’m unsure of what I’ll find in Mt. Rainier but hopefully, it’ll be a good thing. Maybe a fresh start is all I need to let go of the past. I’ll find out soon enough.
I was a soldier for the French during World War I and had to fake my death after being wounded so as not to reveal my existence. Being a Dragovi hybrid meant that my healing abilities were multiplied. The lack of a hole in my stomach would’ve clued in the medics to the fact that I’m not human. I couldn’t let that happen, so I faked my death and retreated from the front lines early on. The war lasted another three years and, in that time, I married my wife and had a son. My wife was a wolf shifter and it took us nearly ten years of trying before we conceived so by that time, World War II had already begun. However, shortly after my son was born, both he and his mother were taken from me.
It’s been nearly a hundred years since then and I still have nightmares about it. The memories are still fresh in my mind and the pain in my heart is still as raw as ever. I’m hoping that this trip to Mt. Rainier will be the perfect chance for me to finally start over and move on from the past. While I still love my wife and son dearly, and I’m not ready to let someone else into my heart like I did for the both of them. I think letting go little by little, is just what I need to leave the past behind.
I say that now but trying and doing are two very different things. While I hope to finally let go and be able to look back on the good memories with fondness instead of pain, something tells me my heart is firmly in the ‘never gonna happen’ stage and it’s going to take an act of god for that to change.
Normally, for long distance travel, I’d shift into my dragon form and fly, but since I’m heading for a wolf pack, I don’t think they’d take too kindly to a dragon landing in the middle of their territory. So, I opted for driving. Packed up all my belongings and loaded them into a U-Haul trailer that I’m pulling behind my Jeep. It’s been a long journey and the end is in sight. Thanks to the GPS, I know I’m only a short ways from pack lands.
On my way up the driveway, an enforcer steps in front of my jeep. Coming to a stop, I roll down the window. The enforcer steps up to the window and says, State your name and your business.
The Alpha and Alpha mate are expecting me. My name is Maksim Delov.
The enforcer scents me and says, Alright, go on in. The Alpha should be at the pack house which is the big one in the circle. If the Alpha isn’t there, you’ll find him at his house which is the third one to the left of the pack house.
Got it. Thank you.
No problem. Go on through.
Nodding, I wait until he steps back before I drive up the road to the pack house. Parking in the circle in front of the house, I climb out of my Jeep, and make my way inside. Another wolf shifter who I assume is also an enforcer stops me in the living room of the house.
You’re the one the Alpha is expecting right?
Nodding, I say, That would be me.
Good, the Alpha is in his office, follow me.
The man turns and starts walking down a long hallway. Following after him, I take a quick glance around to get an idea of where things are. The hallway is mostly closed doors, so I assume that they’re private rooms. While I would love to explore the rest of the house, I need to speak to Aithusa and his mate first to find out which of his mate’s brothers I’ll be teaching and where I’ll be staying.
The enforcer stops in front of an ornate oak door. With a knock, he sticks his head in and announces my arrival. Upon approval to enter, the enforcer returns to the living room while I venture inside the office. Aithusa is leaning against his mate’s chair. When he spots me, he grins and walks over to give
