Delighting in Persecutions for Christ's Sake

About this ebook
One day, in February 1980, at the age of 30, while working as an officer in the Army, Constantin Rusu met the Lord Jesus in a miraculous way and became a Christian. For his faith in Christ, he lost everything. From 1980 to 1988 he was arrested and interrogated by the Communists at least 70 times for being a witness for the Lord. He has never been more happy than the time he was interrogated for his faith in Christ. He could say what the apostol Paul wrote in his second letter to Corinthians chapter 12 verse 10: "That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties."
This book "Delighting in persecution for Christ's sake" is his amazing life story.

I WANT TO PAY FOR THE BULLET
(All names in the testimony below are changed in order to protect the identity of the persons involved)
My last interrogation took place in June 1988, at the police station in Timisoara, Romania.
I’m going to put you in jail for the rest of your life!
Colonel Urla’s face was crimson red as he pounded his fist on the table.
For what crime?
I asked.
For all the unsolved crimes in the city for the last 20 years!
His frustration was at a boiling point.
Mister Colonel, for me to live is Christ and to die is gain. (Philippians 1:21). I’ll pay the 7.10 lei for my bullet, but I would like to ask you to please stop screaming. I’ve been wearing a uniform like yours for many years. I see you as my father. I do not want you to have a heart attack and die. I want you to be able to enjoy your retirement in a few years.
Go home! Get out of here!
That was the last time I would ever see Colonel Urla. Two months later, in August 1988, the police issued passports for my whole family (my wife, myself and our four children aged two, three, four and five) and took us to the Yugoslavian border.
The Communist government fell on December of 1989. In April of 1990 I traveled back to Romania from the UNHCR hotel where my family and I were staying in Austria. We were to get copies of the children’s birth registrations. The government had destroyed all of our
