Part 1: Welcome To Woodland
L ast call for the Woodland stop! All passengers exit now!
The voice of the bus driver jolted me out of a deep sleep and I sat upright in my seat. The bus was idling beside a Podunk bus stop in what appeared to be the middle of nowhere.
This is my stop,
I said, and hurriedly got to my feet. I grabbed my backpack from the space beside me and worked my way past the other passengers to the front of the bus.
Thanks for the ride, sir,
I said to the driver as I walked down the steps. The driver only nodded and gave me a rather perplexed look as he closed the bus doors behind me. I surmised that it wasn't very often that people stopped at this location.
I walked through the bus stop and stepped out into the bright sunshine on the other side. The sight that greeted me took my breath away. Spread out before me was some of the most glorious lands that I had ever seen. The bus stop was situated on a large hill that sloped down into a sprawling forest. The trees were large, lush, and green. A strong breeze was blowing across the landscape, causing the forest to sway, making it feel like the entire place was alive and moving! I could see swarms of birds flitting about and playing in the boughs of the largest trees, and off in the distance majestic mountains scraped the sky with their peaks.
I smiled and dropped my backpack from my shoulder and onto the ground. I unzipped the main compartment and reached inside. When I felt the firm wooden shaft I was searching for my fingers grasped it tightly and I pulled it out. The wood shaft was attached to a large steel ax blade. It was razor sharp, and when the sunlight struck it glistened as bright as a star in the sky. It was a reminder of why I had come to this server.
After many years living in the city of Robloxia, I had gotten fed up with the rat race. I didn't want to sit behind a desk and whittle away
