Úgy érzem eddig ez a rész volt a legösszeszedettebb történet ügyileg, és érdekes dolgok kezdenek kiderülni, illetve felmerülni. Nem hagyja, hogy pihentessem a sztorit!

Things really turned around in this volume and I'm so glad I gave it a chance. After the horrible art style and meandering plot of volume three my hopes for this series were somewhat dashed. Now, however, I think we're back on track.

Volume four has a much nicer art style, for one. It's not the same as the original (which I think fit the vibe perfectly) but it's definitely closer and more tolerable. The story, too, actually seems to be going somewhere and it felt like there was more structure and development to the issues collected here. For the most part, we follow Jen and get more of an insight into her character. I really enjoyed this, as she's been something of the butt of every joke and the comic relief so far. 'Ha ha, good ol' Jen, look how series she is!' Volume four saw her grow and come into herself more, fitting in with our Lumberjanes and becoming a valued member of the team.

There's also more references to mythology in this volume! I didn't expect this - despite the fact there were literal Greek gods in a previous volume and there are countless weird fantasy creatures running about the woods - but I definitely enjoyed it. The creature featured hails from South African myth and folklore, which was really refreshing to see. If things continue in this lightly mythological vein I really hope the cultures we rarely see in mainstream fiction will be highlighted.

Overall, this definitely had the Lumberjanes vibe from volumes one and two. Things seem to be getting more on track, so I'm once again excited to see where things go from here.
