    Fifteen year old Rachel Stark is cute, popular and a chronic runaway. She lurks around the mall during the day, and parties all night. School is optional. Pleasing her friends is not. She’s a self-taught master of manipulation and is pretty sure her mom would never actually change the locks.

After spending most of her adult life on the west coast and the southern interior of British Columbia, she made her way back home in 2011, settling in Calgary. She worked in the legal field for 20 years before obtaining her commercial driver's licence and heading out on the road with her husband. Today, you can find her in a giant Freightliner somewhere on a highway in western Canada or the US. Darcie and her husband and have four children, four grandchildren, and a fur-baby called Bear. When not writing, she enjoys reading, cooking, photography, spending time in nature and her new love of water sports.
