      The Gray Machine

      It has been several days since we hooked up with the gray machine. The entrance was conventional and old. We knew it had Earth markings and traditional details.

      I had seen similar machines. They were usually warehouse space, or storage. Often junk. Now, here we are after eight years and nothing is new except the gray machine storage thing, and other ships and contraptions we've collected.

      I talked to G. about it. Why can't I remember her name? I know it's either Gretchen or Grace, or Gail.

      She told me her name a long time ago.

      Certainly, I am attracted to her. This is against all protocol.

      I cannot even touch her. I know.
