Victoria Marmot is just an average teenage girl... if by "average" you mean an orphaned, multi-lingual, martial arts expert who owns her own home and may or may not have magical abilities. When Vic discovers her parents didn't die the way she thinks they did, what little remains of her world is turned upside down and she's left with the task of finding out what really happened to them. - Victoria Marmot and the Inconvenient Prophecy: Victoria Marmot, #2
2
Book two of the fast-paced, urban fantasy parody series. When Victoria Marmot helps rescue her brother from a corrupt magical government she also unleashes a cadre unsavory characters, a handful of helpless children, and a dragon. Now, with the Ministry of Magical Entities and an obsessed vampire ambushing them at every turn, Vic will have to call on all of her newfound powers—and enlist the help of all of her new friends—to solve the mystery of what really happened to her parents before MOME can silence her and everyone she holds dear.
- Victoria Marmot and the Shadow of Death: Victoria Marmot, #3
3
Book three of the fast-paced, humorous, urban fantasy series. Vic is about to die. At best, she'll die when the Ministry of Magical Entities finally puts on their sham of a trial and convicts her of a crime she only sort-of committed… but most likely she'll die in the next flash flood here in this hellhole they're using as a prison, or maybe whenever that shrieking squirrel demon comes back. Then again, maybe she'll live just long enough to find out what MOME is really up to, and die along with everyone else if she fails to stop them.
- Victoria Marmot and the Dragon's Rage: Victoria Marmot, #4
4
Book 4 in the fast-paced, humorous, Victoria Marmot series! This is the fourth book in the fast-paced, humorous,Victoria Marmot series and continues right after the end of book three. As such this description contains mild spoilers for books one through three. Vic's getting a bit tired of saving the world, but the damned thing doesn't seem inclined to save itself. Two days after MOME (the Ministry of Magical Entities) attempted to wipe out La Paz by weaponizing her brother, Vic finds herself in a dark alley with Sol, trying to find a backdoor into Unterberg. Why you ask? Oh, no reason. Just that one of the most powerful weredragons in the realms is being used to hold the world hostage, and Vic's best chance at averting disaster just disappeared without a trace. You know, teenager stuff.
- Victoria Marmot and the Road to Hell: Victoria Marmot, #5

Virginia McClain is an author who masqueraded as a language teacher for a decade or so. When she's not reading or writing she can generally be found playing outside with her four legged adventure buddy and the tiny human she helped to build from scratch. She enjoys climbing to the top of tall rocks, running through deserts, mountains, and woodlands, and carrying a foldable home on her back whenever she gets a chance. She's also fond of word games, and writing descriptions of herself that are needlessly vague.
