    A squared, pink framed note

    Labeled While you were out

Is conspicuously placed on my belongings

    For my eventual review.

I quickly find out to my surprise

the caller and the reason for the call.

Why do we rush to answer the calls of friends

When there is no immediate need?

Are no there more needs in this world

More priorities, more opportunities, more ways

    To find meaning than merely

To fulfill and satisfy our own desires?

    Time is a commodity

To use up foolishly or to spend in meaningful tasks.

But we are the choosers on what to do with this precious gift.

Toil away we spend our days in endless requests

Satisfying others while not fulfilling what we really need.

The worldly cares distract and disrupt our lives

And fractures our ability to focus.

Lost are the opportunities that we

could have achieved, should have achieved, and might have achieved

Devoted to what we will encounter after we die.

Communicating in this high-tech world is like a a murky puddle

Rushed and skewed in thoughtless response.

How wonderful to return to a time when our response

Is attuned to a Higher Being

    Who desperately wants our attention

Look up, seek out, and listen attentively to that voice

    And respond to a call

from One above who as bestowed upon us

    breath, thought, and imagination

Meant only for you to discover what an exciting adventure

    Life is.

    A World With No End

    30279.jpg

    Out of the vast universe

    Of nothingness and limitless space

    And serene tunnels of space

    Devoid of growth and color

    Was fathomed a majestic creation

    By a glorious God—

Who planned, developed, and brought into being

    This awesome world,

Founded on faith, hope, and love which is

An inspiration out of an incredible desire

    To a Life everlasting.

    Sent forth from the heavens

Into this kaleidoscope of unimaginable colors

Molded into mountains, hills, and valleys,

    And sparkling lakes and rivers

Gleam like a life-warming ball of radiance

Framing a backdrop for life’s events that will come to pass.

    Energy sparks forth joy

As we express emotion and completion

    To move forward in time

    Anticipating it with gladness.

When Evil and Sin attempt to take over

    And seven horses march in

Commences the tribulation, troubles, and famine

    Which will reawaken the mind

    Calling in redemption

To visit us again like an old, forgotten friend.

    Jesus, Who is Our Savior,

    Will reinvent our world

    To save our world

    To christen us

    With forgiveness

To free us from this world

    That has no end.

    What I See

    30282.jpg

I see a world of people looking up for hope

But only looking around for ways to cope.

I see a world of people longing to know

What would make their heart sing

    Yet spend their days

Longing for their money to grow.

I see a world of people filled with anxiety

Yet refuse to take the time

    to learn about wisdom

And that blissful feeling of serenity.

I see a world of people who cannot find quiet days

Yet God is all around inviting us to daily worship

Of triumph joy, gratitude, and praise.

I see a world of people paralyzed by fear

Who cannot see all that glory there is to receive

And a desperate need to escape

    Circumstances which will never leave.

I see a world of people who live out no purpose

Some who believe and others who stray

    But we pray for those

    Who seek no reward

Who believe and share their unwavering faith

And will spend eternity in sweet repose.

    What is Energy?

    30284.jpg

From the sky above to the ocean below

From the farthest planet to our world

    Energy abounds and mobilizes

And this energy helps to mobilize everything, all life.

    Energy causes…

the sun to radiate a glowing fondness below

the stars to sparkle with merriment

the fire to punish the wrath

    the miracles to abound.

Glimmer casts shadows from cathedral walls

And makes the hills to chant at nature’s sweet sounds

And the candle to lament lost lives at dusk.

Scientists ascribe E to equal Energy, however it represents

    the Energy from God

that forgotten element that produces the stage

for life’s events to be played out in God’s total control

And to be recorded in history’s annals.
