Born on 12 July 1998, Martin is a twelve-year-old Ugandan born British national currently living in Purley, Surrey, United Kingdom. He went to Roke Primary School and is studying at Riddlesdown Collegiate. After reading other fiction novels, Martin was inspired to write his own book. Although certain types of art can aggravate him, he is passionate about drawing and has drawn all the pictures in this book. Spark: A name shared by James, the overlord, and the magical sword.
Jospus: (Shein) Spetlyson. Father of James and his brother, Timothus; heir to the throne of Sprekex; and prime minister of Agroxen.
Mary Spetlyson: Wife of Jospus Spetlyson and mother of James and Timothus. She is killed in Danisky, Poland, where she was visiting as an ambassador from Agroxen, by Kupio, who is from Finland.
Sprekex: Formally known as Mars, the world in which James, Jospus, Mary, and the others live. Sprekex is controlled by the direct descendants of its founder. It consists of thirty large countries; the northern part of the planet is mountainous and very cold.
Agroxen: The biggest city in Sprekex, which is where James and his family live. Agroxen is also the overlord’s residence.
Amarox: The school that they all go to before becoming legally allowed to use their powers in public.
Nalixs: The name given to horses, which are carnivores.
The Shein family: The Shein family is directly related to James because his father is the born heir of the overlord, Jogan. The rest of the Shein family hates James and his father. James’s father is prime minister but is later overlord.
Jo-shein: James’s cousin and arch-enemy. He is overlord for just a few minutes.
Cho-shein: The father of Jo-shein and the overlord when Jogan is killed by Suma-shein.
Timothus Spetlyson: James’s older brother, who is later crowned as overlord by his father.
Suray: A sword that is owned by every person on Sprekex; it helps to amplify his or her powers.
John: James’s best friend and an expert at the air controlling.
Threrines: The name of James’s islands.

Sprekex was built by Gwelth Shein, who was a human from Earth. He had sneaked onto a spaceship on 24 February1860. He was found out by the crew on-board the ship two days after they had set off. They imprisoned him at the space station but forgot him on the way back to Earth.
He was believed to have died, but in truth, God gave him power to float to Mars. However, because it was such a long way to the planet, there was a moment when God thought to experiment with this man, and he gave him the power to cause things to happen, such as fire to express jealousy and rage or air to express cheerfulness and happiness. Water usually expressed cleverness and professionalism, earth expressed strength and assertiveness, and electricity showed power over man’s own creations. God then gave the planet the same qualities as Earth had, so that humans could live on it and gave the man power to build as if he were an army. Within four years, they had together built on half the planet. God had made the land structure resemble the same land on Earth so it was easy to build on.
Then God gave the man children, who also had children, who also had children. The man named his youngest son his heir, and this son also named his youngest son heir. By the end of it, a family tree had grown from one man to hundreds of people.
The children who were not chosen as heirs all went off to other countries and built and ruled in those countries, where they had children, thus populating the planet with humans. The chosen line was now very noble. It was also written by the founder of
