    TO CLOUD A MIND

Hurry up Don, get done with it!, the night was cold the fog was thick as if a cloud had fell upon the earth the sounds of the city filled the night with the blade slashing down with hate driven force. I can tell this is getting you off! John says. Do you feel that John? Don asks. Feel what? John asked in return, Her spine! Don replied with a devilish laugh twisting the blade into her torn body. Shut up and get done with it! John requested adding, we’re going to get caught if you keep screwing around. I guess you should not have had me kill his daughter then! Don snared back adding, I told you this would be a bad idea, Tony is going to get to close! Nonsense this will cloud his mind he won’t be able to focus anymore. Don began cutting her body open pulling at her organs the wet texture of her enter self was like putty in his hands. Which one do I keep you know there all so sweet? Don delightfully asked. Come on stop it just put it in the bag! Don began licking her kidney. Go fuck yourself I know you are nothing without me!" Don moved around the girl’s body placing her hands where her breasts once use to be.

I guess you need to get to know me. I’m John R. Hollander. I need to start from the beginning of who I am. I had the normal upbringing, my mother was my mother, and my father was my father. I had lots of love, I had my family and I was liked by my entire sibling, you know they say people have dark places most people are scared to indulge but for some people this world won’t ever be right and for the ones like me, I knew this thing in me was straight from HELL. I was the youngest of two brothers and a sister my parents died in a car crash the year I turned eighteen not much of a birthday gift but it was what it was. We had great Christmases, birthdays, vacations, all of the normal family stuff. Bullshit stop lying John I seen them for who they truly are! Your brothers are losers and your sisters a fucking whore! I’ve told you so many times Don, you leave my family out of things you understand what I’m telling you! Where was I? To my teachers and my parents I was the perfect child I did my school work did my chores and graduated with honors. I was the top of my class and Don well, he is what he is. I first met Don when I was in junior high but, I guess he’s always been here. I was not very interested in what the teacher was teaching so I asked to be excused to the restroom. I was not the six foot three, two hundred forty pound man I am today and like any other school there were the bullies who happened to be cutting class in the bathroom. They pinned me against the wall and began beating me down there was no way I could stop them, then the one person besides my wife that truly understands me came in. The next thing I remember is the sound of the sirens I was covered in blood along with the floor and walls of the bathroom. I never had to go back to that school again. We were of privileged people I don’t know why I was there in the first place, after that it was private schools but Don moved with me. He had been released from his cage and there was no way he was ever going back. I wonder if my parents would have known what they brought into the world if they would have stopped with my sister."

John climbs into his slick black Jaguar, the lights of the city shine upon its texture while it moves over the land driving from the scene. Did you wipe our finger prints foot prints or leave anything that would lend them to us Don? John asks of Don looking in the mirror, Yes I took care of everything and turn on the headlights so we don’t stand out. Stop worrying, I cannot count the times we have done this, John says. The city goes by with the passing of time John pulls up to his home placed in the center of his lush estate. Did you write those pigs a little note before our deed? Don inquires of him Why yes of course I did. The door opens to his shop. Put the car away and make sure you wipe and clean all traces of that fucking slut, clean it well or do I have to do it I think I can handle it. John replies opening the door to the car, Just make sure you put my beloved blade where I keep it! You really need to quit being so material driven a blade is a blade. Are you going to do what I asked you to do? John shakes his head in disbelief that he has to have the same conversion with him. Of course I’ll do it. I always put it in your case when you are done with it. John takes off his clothes burns them in his pit, cleans the car then calmly walks inside makes his way through his home climbs the stairs then crawls into bed.

The morning sun’s rays enter the room, John opens his eyes gazing upon his beautiful wife Cindy her ass has swallowed her tight white lace panties in the night. John reflects to himself, She’s the love of my life I cannot tell you why Don has never had a problem with her or what separates her from all the women he has killed down through the years, I knew the first time I saw her I loved her and to me she was different than all the rest. Don has never spoken a word against her I guess some sick part of him loves her too, if he’s capable of such feelings her smile makes me happy and the way she moves her body makes me crazy! Cindy gets out of bed her ass is hanging out one side of her underwear she has on a white tee shirt one of her husbands no less. Are you hungry baby? Cindy asks Yes. Then I will get the cook to have you something prepared. Well just make sure you put something on or you will give him a heart attack looking like that! Cindy just blushes. Yes love. She pauses for a moment then leans in the door way, do you still think I look that good? John reflects to himself, her eyes have that sparkle along with her perfect smile she drives me crazy, You will always look that good lover, guess I need to get up and take a bath and get this day moving. I waited for you last night but I fell asleep. Cindy says. Yeah, you and me both I woke up underneath the car. You still have not got that old car finished? She asks in a joking tone. Not yet but someday soon I hope. John replies moving towards the lush bathroom.

Come in car nineteen, The radio mounted to the dash sounds out. Tony Steele answers it. This is car nineteen go ahead. We have a body for you on the west side, a young female in her early twenties. Tony has been the F.B.I special investigator involving serial killers for more than twenty years with all the resources to find societies most afflicted. Where is it at exactly? It was discovered in the Westside junkyard. I am on root. Tony places the siren on top of the roof. What away to start the morning. Tony hears his phone ring pulls it from the pocket of his jacket and answers. This is agent Steele. Mr. Steele, a familiar voice says. Well how is my other daughter doing this morning? He asks a long time friend of his daughter. Did Lacey stay with you last night she did not come home? No I have not seen her all week. Well I am worried she didn’t call to say where she was staying, she replies with concern. I wouldn’t worry too much Molly she probably stayed at Kevin’s. Tony’s mind wonders. I wish she would not sleep with him until she was married I guess things are not like when I grew up. I will call Kevin later to see if she is coming by tonight just don’t get yourself all worked up I am sure she is fine. He pulls up to the junkyard steps out of his car, Call me when you have heard from her or better yet have her call me. Okay love you pops. Tony smiles then hears the click of the phone. He looks round walking through the junkyard with his mind pondering. I wonder if they can stack any more cars in this place. Tony looks ahead with seeing the uniform he walks up too him. May I help you? The officer inquires. Where is the body? Tony asks him. Are you agent Steele? Why yes I am why do you ask? There is someone who needs to see you. He informs Tony I believe it can wait I need to view the body for evidence before it is here to long. Tony replies as he begins to walk from him. It is being handled sir. By whom? Tony pauses in his steps and asks, The lady in the suit she is from the F.B.I s homicide office. What the hells going on? Tony thinks as he turns and walks down to her. You need to see me agent? Tony asks puzzled. Maggie Barns, she holds out her hand to shake. I am agent Steele. Tony replies as they shake. She pauses for a moment takes a breath and speaks. We figured out who the Rage was targeting like normal it is too late to save the victim. What do you mean us? I do not remember you being put on my team agent Barns. Tony replies still looking puzzled. I was supposed to be appointed to the team for you to train me to head up homicide investigations. Maggie answers. I guess the home office figures I have my twenty makes sense. Tony thinks. Well that is fine but we need to be on the body not standing here wasting the time to collect vital evidence or did they not teach that at the academy. Tony says with the feeling of his toes have just been stepped on. It’s being handled Sir. Barns replies with stepping between Tony and the crime scene. And who my I ask is handling this? Tony steps to the side asking. Then a gut wrenching pain feels his soul he remembers the phone call he panics’ starts walking down toward the body at a fanatic pace. Stop him! Maggie screams. Two officers restrain him but he catches a glimpse of her mangled body and his worst fears have just been realized. My god in heaven it’s my baby! Sweat pours from his forehead his eyes gaze over he falls upon he’s knees the officers comfort his shoulders, the horrid scene grips his soul. Maggie leans down. Sir you cannot be here you know this please go back to the office I promise if any leads are found you will be the first to know. I will keep you informed. Tears stream down his face every person there knows a law enforcement officer sorest nightmare to walk up and see a love one dead and such a heinous crime. Tony gathers himself gets off the ground he pats the officer on the back. I will drive you to your office. An officer tells him. Okay. Tony speaks through the tears. Mournfully he walks toward a car. Maggie removes her glasses rubs her nose gathers herself. Alright people let’s get to work the Rage has killed one of our own he has made this personal People from Steele’s team has watched her grow up they are taken back with the show of emotion from Tony in all the years they have served with him never have they seen him shaken. What a fucking bitch does she not realize most of us knew this girl Team members wonder. Look I know this one is close to home for a lot of you and I am the new kid on the block but we still have a job to do now it is more important than ever. Her stern voice snaps them back to the job at hand. Maggie has studied case files from the Rage’s past. She thinks. There is not going to be anything to go on damn it! She climbs into her car closes the door sits with the engine silent as her mind screams. This was not how I would have liked to have been reintroduced!" Turns the key the motor hums to life puts the car in gear drives off.

John feels a finger trace his ass. Hello sexy! Cindy says. He pulls his head from under the shower saying, You dressed already! Yep, I have to get going I will see you when I get back. Cindy says then kisses him before she leaves. Are you going to be in this shower all morning we missed watching the girls catch the bus. Damn it Don did you not get enough last night? Whatever. Don smugly remarks. Don is an acquired taste most people would not find him a pleasurable person to me his not bad what can I say his part of me I cannot change that. John reflects to himself. John gets dressed stands looking in the mirror seeing Don looking back in his reflection. Damn you are almost as pretty as me! Don says jokingly. Heading downstairs John sits down at the table the cook brings him his meal in walks his driver. Will you need me to drive you this morning Sir? The driver asks in a well tone manner. Yes and I have a dinner engagement with clients on the London project we will need the limo also around five to pick all of us up. John begins to eat the meal in front of him. Damn I wish you or Cindy would hirer a fucking cook how can you eat this? Don’s expression shows on his face. Was the food to your liking sir? The cook asks. Good as always. John replies. You are such a pussy John! He should have asked me. I would have told him it tastes like third rated dog food! Don informs.

Tony walks into his office trying to maintain a sense of demeanor, he sits down at his desk people walk up. I am so sorry for what has happened. They tell him before they walk away leaving him with his thoughts, Tony gives no reply just puts his head in his hands stares at the floor shutting the world around him out. He looks up staring out of his window into the sky, begins to think. I have lost her my little girl! Tears try to well up in his eyes he fights them back, inquiring. Was this an attack on me or just a chance encounter? I have always taught her how to defend herself did she know him? Did the Rage get close or maybe someone killed her to make it look like she was a victim of the Rage? In walks agent Maggie Barns he sees her coming toward him arriving Maggie speaks. Agent Steele, I do not know whether you are ready to discuss this it or not but it is pretty much the same as usual there’s not much to go on. There never is. Tony heavily hearted replies. We are doing the usual, bringing in the boyfriend for questioning checking with people close to her. I suppose I have to be considered a suspect as well. Tony adds. You know it is just the normal process you do not need to say anything about where you were we checked, you have been cleared. Maggie replies delicately. Tony looks across the office seeing Kevin walk in with an officer beside him. Tony losses his entire composer gets up grabs Kevin by the neck. Did you kill my little girl? Tony asks with a father’s rage. Kevin gasps for air officers run in. Let go of him Sir! Please now! The agents scream to him. A senior officer bursts in. Tony get control of yourself! Tony looks at him in the eyes. He has already checked out! He has come in to help see if he can shed some light on things, okay? The senior agent informs him. Tony releases him looks down at the floor. Forgive me Kevin I have no excuse. Tony’s boss leans into his ear saying. I need to see you in my office when you have gathered yourself. Agent Barns make sure he gets there. Tony walks back towards his desk area looks out the window stares down at the city thinking. You are out there somewhere! He starts to recall the first time he found a victim of the killer people have come to know as the Rage. It was ten years ago Lacey was ten, I had already had a very good career at catching killers but I had never seen one like this before, recalling the brutal slaying of a monster images of bodies flash through his mind to the first. She was a prostitute most people do not care about women of her nature but to me they were someone’s little girl, someone had to have loved them now I have to find them like this. Most murders you can get your mind around crimes of passion, random acts of violence but victims like these are hard to come to terms with. Her body was in tacked, far from some of the Rages victims; he had removed her eyes stabbing her through the mouth into the brain. The blade was driven with such force it penetrated the back of her head. I could not tell you if this was the first or if he had just started refining himself by most serial killers standards if there is such a thing. They normally do not kill their own kind or so I thought. Killers may spend time killing until they finally find what their appetites are, his mind remembers leaning down over her body asking, Do we know who she is? A younger Tony asks a policeman on the scene with him. Not yet we are still running her prints she probably has to have a record somewhere. Her body was behind a motel in the lower district she was very well dressed in clothing you would not find in a store in these parts, only on Park Avenue. Is there a purse? Tony inquires. No Sir, if there was someone could have found the body and removed it from the scene, people in this part of town is capable of anything! An officer informs. I wish they would move the scum somewhere else. Another officer chimes in. Tony looks up at the officer requesting. How about giving some respect to the dead, if you don’t mind. The officer rolls his eyes. Have there been any other bodies turned up lately in the same condition? Tony inquires of him. Not that I know of, why do you ask? Do you think we may have a serial killer on our hands? Writing down details on a pad the officer inquires. Maybe, I really do not know it is just a hunch. Tony stands remembering to himself. I learned early on I had a six sense for things like this, I wish I had been wrong."

John rides in the back of his royals looking as the scenery goes passing by. Sir, did you find what you went out for last night? Bill asks. Why yes I did. I broke the throttle cable and needed it to finish up. John smoothly tells him. Bill needs to learn how to do his job he is not paid to wonder what we are doing! Don chimes in. Relax Don he is just making polite conversation. Bullshit he watches us to close I will have to keep an eye on him. Don informs. That’s what you’re here for. John suggests. Are you going to sell it when you get done? inquires Bill. Yes it will fetch a good price for the children foundation. You’re a very charitable man I know if it were not for the foundation I would have lost my granddaughter a few years back. Bill replies graciously. Cindy and I have been very blessed so we try to give to who are less fortunate. What a waste of money! Don remarks, the car stops in front of the office building. Bill gets out opens the door. Have a good day Sir! Thanks and do not forget I need you back here to pick me up at five, if anything changes I will give you a ring. John states before walking towards the front door. Do you think Tony found his mutilated little girl? Don asks with devilish laugh before speaking again, he is very lucky I left her face intact if it was not for you I would have carved that to! You still did a good job of making her hard to recognize John walks through the doors into the building. Good morning sir, says the doorman. Have you checked out the new receptionist? Yes Don, she works for me I know who she is, she was here yesterday. I guess you were occupied with your big night you just didn’t pay her any attention. I see her now! What a sexy top, nice round tits, tight little ass. I bet you she is a screamer, not like the little lady last night, a gasper! Don states. Do not get any ideas Don we do not kill women close to us that would be a sure way to get us caught. John quickly reminds. You’re a pussy John! I thought by now you might try the killing part! Don says. No that your thrill. I just like the stalk and the thrill of out thinking the cops. Well, it is not very smart to leave or send tips to those pigs! Don informs him. How long have we been doing this? John asks. Long enough to unseat old Ted he could not even come close to what I have done! Don bragging answers. It upsets you he took credit for some of your work. John replies stepping into the elevator with the doors closing behind him. Good morning Mr. Hollander. A man in the back of the elevator says. A woman on the side stands looking out at the people coming on. In the mirrored doors Don in the reflection reaches trying to choke her. Control yourself Don. John requests. This ride gets longer every morning. John says to those enjoying the ride up. The elevator stops to let people on and off, John hears morning from most all of the people. John the new hot little cleaning lady is checking out your ass. Don notices. John gazes into the mirror she smiles. Oh she is smoking! Don proclaims. Not as hot as Cindy! You know you like the taste of strange John. How many times have we had this conversion once again you do not kill women from the office nor sleep with them. John informs stepping out of the door. Good morning Mr. Hollander. The sectary says. He walks down a hallway passing doors to his left and right morning comes from every direction as the people who work for him give their praises to him. Look how they think you’re the shit! Don exclaims. Enough Don let’s focus or have you forgotten how we make our money? The doors slide open. John walks to his desk.

Tony stands still looking out the window thinking of the Rages first, remembering seeing a young cop down around the dumpster. Find something? Tony inquires. Yes sir this was inside her back! He states handing over a letter wrapped in plastic, What kind of monster could do this? The officer asks before emotions get the best of him the bloody mess overwhelms him and he splatters his morning meal on the ground. Officer you want to take him for a walk he maybe up chucking on evidence. Tony calmly says. The officers walk off with their departure Tony thoughts come to him. It takes a different breed to do this job the trick to catching someone like this is to go into places in your soul most do not think they have, the animal side that’s the easy part coming back that’s the part most cannot pull off. My first year I caught the hiker killer that is what the press called him in upstate New York, he killed for two years, I asked him when he was in prison what made him want to take a life? He simply replied with no expression on his face. What was the difference between killing other mammals and what I had done? It’s just a bigger thrill! I had planned on taking a life from as far as I could remember. Tony remembers the very words like he had just spoken them too him, He was from bad seed to begin with, most are Tony walks towards his car gets in places the letter into a bag then leaves the crime scene heading to his station remembering the drive. The city was busy like nothing had happen but someone had lost their little girl and it was my job to find out why a parent would bury their baby. Tony remembers arriving to the station getting out going through the doors walking to the same place he stands now when he first read a letter from the rage. SHE GOT DOWN ON HER KNEES TO GIVE ME HEAD SHE CLOSED HER EYES AND NOW SHE IS DEAD I STUCK MY BLADE DEEP INSIDE I TOOK HER SOUL ON THAT I THRIEVE. I KEPT HER EYES AS MY PRIZE I LEFT HER HERE WHERE THE UNFORGIVEN KEEP SIGNED R In the room where he stands someone knocks a book from their desk the thumping sound snaps him back to the here and now.

John pushes the button on the speaker phone, Janice. Yes Mr. Hollander? Are the new plans for the London project ready? Not yet. Then call down and tell them I need them A.S.A.P. John looks down at his watch adding, I need to review the changes before our clients arrive. I will see too it Mr. Hollander. Thanks Janice. John says then releases the button. You know she hates you she does not think you pay her enough, what a bitch! Don rudely says. You are just mad because she is your type and you cannot kill her besides how do you know what she is thinking do you read minds too? inquires John.

Tony breaks his stare from out of the window he takes a few steps back and sits in his chair then reflects back. I cannot recall where the name Rage came from, the press just ran with it. The speaker on his desk rings out the voice breaks his train of thought. Tony will you come to my office please. The chief says. Tony knows what is coming next he walks into the office closes the door behind him.

Janice buzzes into John’s office. The plans are here. John walks out and up to her desk. Thank you and hold all my calls, unless it is my wife or the clients from London. John says before walking back into his office then closes the doors. I wish the plans were done, I so long to walk the streets of London the memories of past trips can set my heart to racing! Don says reliving the blood running down his hands. The screams of a lady replay in John’s ear.

Tony I regretfully inform you that you have been removed from this case. The chief says with a professional manner. What the hell do you mean removed? Tony quickly replies. Tony you cannot have the lead on this case anymore you are to close when we catch this monster any fresh out of law school lawyer would eat this case alive in open court! You can still be in the loop but agent Barns is going to have the lead. The Chief says pauses for a moment to let it sink in, we also recommend you take a short leave of absence. What is the reason for that? Tony do you remember what just happened out there you nearly tore that boys head off! The chief reminds with Tony staring at the floor, take some time and clear your head. Please chief I have chased this killer from one side of this country to the next, ten years I have invested in this case! That is an order Tony. The chief says with an authority tone. Tony gets up walks out back to his desk. Maggie is sitting there waiting for him making it to her. Tony you have to see his point, but you do not have to agree. I think it is a mistake for them to remove you. I guess I have had ten years to catch this one maybe it is time for some new blood. Tony says delicately. Maybe we can catch this one together, go home, when we piece together what happened I will bring it to you. I will be on leave for awhile call me if you need something. Tony says sitting going through his desk. You are still part of this team I wish I had taken the lead under better circumstances. Tony gets up then speaks. I could say the same Agent Barns.", then walks through the office and out the door to catch the elevator down.

Mr. Hollander there is a call for you. Janice buzzes in. Did you not tell her you did not want to be disturbed! Don reminds him. It is your wife she is on line two. Thank you. Always jumping to conclusions, glad you do not run things here or there would be no one working inside the firm. John remarks. Good then we would have more time for the simplest of pleasures! Hey baby. John says. I tried you on your cell but it went straight to voice mail. John looks down at his phone. I forgot to turn it on have you landed yet? No but within the hour, I miss you already. How are the plans coming? Cindy inquires. Well, I hope this will do it. I am glad you have worked so hard on this one but I am also sad our bed will be a member short! Only for a couple of weeks, then I will be here. You can make the next trip if you can clear your schedule. Maybe, I will see if I can shuffle things around. Cindy replies. How are the little lads sections coming? John asks Better he seems to be dealing with the loss of his parents’ I think he is beginning to opening up. If anyone can pull him through it is you. Thanks for the complement. Cindy says. Have a safe trip if you need to get a hold of me I will be staying at the Hollander in case I lose my phone or something. Silence takes hold of the line then she breaks it with her voice. Hey did I tell you that you are the love of my life? Cindy asks. Every time I hear your voice love but I need to get going John informs. Bye lover talk with you soon. Cindy lovingly says. John hangs up the phone walks to the window stares down at a living city. Just look at them John we are wasting time! I could be out there killing at will they do not even know they are alive until the life force begins to leave them. Don comments with the buzzer ringing on the desk. Mr. Hollander the clients from London are here. John walks over and replies. Send them in. Now focus Don. An older man with a middle aged man come through the doors. Oh John they brought her with them! Don says with excitement. A little behind walks a perfect bodied blonde Don catches her scent. Bet you she tastes divine she would go quiet when I run here through, she would not make a sound! Don remarks watching her body move across the room. Welcome back John says as they begin to surround his desk. John clears his desk then unrolls the plans. I think we have it this time. confidently saying. The old man leans over the desk checking each detail with John replying. This is what was requested from the counsel. The blonde leans down. I can see her nipples John what pleasure I could give her! Don remarks. Everything looks in order. The older mans says. I must have her John! John can see Don’s reflection moving toward her in the glass. Calm the fuck down you cannot kill her! I told you that the last time you saw her. John tells him regaining Don’s composer. I am glad to see you approve of the changes They cover a few more lose ends. Now that business is out of the way, we can just enjoy each other’s company. John says in a pleasing manner. They tell me you’re a show man. The older man says. John smiles informing, I figured we would start with dinner. The blonde chimes in, Is there any good places to dance? My granddaughter just can’t dance enough. The older man says placing his arm around her. She looks down at a picture of Cindy. You have a beautiful wife! John can see her trying to measure up to the beauty before her. Thank you, she is all I have ever needed! John replies. Cindy would not like her! Don informs him. Nonsense they would get along fine. John states walking them to the elevator adding as the doors open. I will be by the studio at five to pick all of you up. John says. That sounds great. The older man says as he shakes his hand. They get into the elevator the doors close behind them.

Tony steps off the elevator walks out to the parking lot the visions of his dead daughter play in his mind thinking. I am going to get the son of a bitch that took you from me I promise you that baby! They cannot keep me from this case even if I have to retire I would spend every day until it is done. He gets into his car drives into the busy street remembering a time past. I have found bodies from one state to the next men missing sex organs bodies missing things to sick to recall. The part I never could figure is how he gets from one place to another so quick. It has to be the same person there is to many simulations in the way they’re killed. The portions that have been cut off we have never found a single piece. In the same city I can understand but in different cities the same night or the same time frame, sometimes it takes weeks to find a victim even months it seems we only find one the day after when he wants us to. God please help me find this mad man this demon that plays as a man. He continues to drive towards his home letting his mind find the answers he seeks.

Maggie sits down at her desk gets a call on her cell answering she hears. Agent Barns we have another body down on the docks the victim is male that’s all we know. I will gather the team and go see who and what we have. Maggie says beginning to gather her things to go and view another brutal killing.

John sits at his desk. Don stays in his ear, his urges become intoxicating. We have to go out again tonight her scent has got me going! Don, you had your fun last night we have to be careful we can get sloppy with too much fun that is a sure way to a padded room! John pleads. John you could fuck her you know you would like that! Then when the moment is right I can take her soul and a chuck from her leg then you could eat her twice! Don remarks letting the drive overwhelm John and just like always he gives in to the monster inside. Okay Don we will go out but after I finish dinner and entertaining the clients and by no means can you kill his granddaughter. We can go down to the midnight bar on the strip. You think there will be a blonde? I am sure we can find someone to fill in on your fantasy. John replies reaching for the speaker. Janice will you please call me a cab. Yes Sir. Janice responds. I will be at the Hollander if anything unexpected should come up. I have a few hours before I have to pick up the clients I think I will just relax until then. John grabs his things takes out his cell phone, Bill there is a change of plans just pick me up at the Hollander just before five. Yes Sir. Bill answers. John hangs up the phone the doors close on the elevator Don stands in the mirrored doors. I knew you could not deny me. Don says with a cocky manner. I gave up fighting you long ago. I just try to keep you from getting us caught! John remarks with the elevator stopping. The doors slide open and the doorman says, Good night Mr. Hollander, see you tomorrow. John keeps walking. You missed that. What? Don inquires. The new receptionist was bent over! John says walking through the lobby. I did not miss it she just does not look as sweet as the blonde. Don remarks as they leave the building. John gets into the cab, To the Hollander hotel please. Right away sir How has your day gone today? John asks making small talk with the cabby. With their conversation started, Why do you even speak to these people he is a fucking low life cab driver! Don rudely remarks. You want to kill him too? Please it would not even be worth the effort. Don states. The city is crawling with life the traffic is wall to wall. The cabby and John talk of things in the city. There needs to be a plague or something I kill and kill it does not seem to make a dent just look at the whorish people like rats in a cage! Don proclaims. The cab stops John gets out hands the man the money with a good tip. Now why would you do that? He just drove us a half mile or so it is not like we went across country. Don remarks with a smart ass tone. Did you not see a picture of his family hanging on the rear view people are not blessed like me. John says with Don asking, You mean to have someone like me to keep them company? That is just what I was meaning Don! John informs shaking his head. May I take your bag Mr. Hollander? He gives his bag to the doorman. I just remembered I did not grab my blade, I cannot go out I want kill without it! Don says with a slight panic on his lips. Bullshit Don you have killed with everything possible! John comments as the visions of women lying butchered on the ground before him play fresh in his memories. The screams echo his mind. That was before we picked up my blade in china. Relax I put it in the briefcase this morning while you were out I figured being in the room with the lady this morning might bring out the best in you. John says tapping his case walking up to the desk clerk. Check her out John! She has great legs. The passion of the night that lies before him stirs up Don’s lust. Will you be staying alone tonight or is there someone else arriving? The pretty girl behind the counter asks. I will be staying alone. John gives a slight grin as he collects his key. Everything is prepared and in order. She gladly informs him. John picks up his things heads toward the elevator the doors open. She was checking out your ass John! He catches her gaze when he turns towards the doors. Don stands looking back at him in the mirrors reflection. Tonight is going to get wild I will be so pumped up being around her tonight it is a shame she will never know the delight of me! Don says with it rising. Are my things in the room? John asks the elevator man. Yes I took care of it personally and I might say it is a pleasure to have you here again. Thank you it is a pleasure to be here again. He tips the man as they ride towards the sky. It has been awhile since we have stayed here. John remarks to Don. The elevator stops the doors slide open he walks to a door unlocks it goes through the foyer into the living room then into the bedroom, brings out his keys and unlocks his personal desk reaching in pushes a button. The mirror slides over revealing a hidden closet. John walks inside then sits down on a stool. Everything appears to still be here John. Don informs looking around the room. Of course no one knows this closet is here except us. John replies. Don gets his things prepared bringing out his suit of choice; a black coat, crimson shirt, black pants, black tie along with a black trench coat. The top hat sits resting on the shelf in the room. He sits down reaches into the case pulls out an ivory handle stainless steel blade, twelve inches in length, one and a half inches wide. There you are! Don says with a certain excitement bringing out a stone then begins to sharpen the blade. You did a good job of cleaning it there not a stench of her on it! Don happily informs John. Do your thing I have somewhere to be. John reminds him. Don strokes the blade back and forth across the stone gentle back and forth like a violinist playing a tune he moves the blade over the stone finished he picks up a piece of leather and slices it with ease. I think it is ready John! Don says with a devilish grin. John looks out standing in the mirrors reflection. Don is sitting in the room on the stool mirrors hung on the walls surround him. It has been awhile since you brought one here to play with Don. John remarks looking at shackles pinned up on the wall the phone rings breaking their walk down memory lane. I am going to answer that I will back in a minute Don. Don looks at John from the mirror answering it while sitting on the bed. Hey baby did you get settled in? John says with excitement in hearing his wife’s voice. Yes I did and why would you choose to stay there? It seemed like the thing to do I did not want to have to make the drive out across the city I figured I would cut my driving time down. I sent you a little peek on the computer if you want to check it out! Cindy says with a lustful tone. Later I just want to hear your voice for now. I miss you already! Cindy tells him. You know I will have time before my trip to London again I will make sure to clear my schedule for us! That sounds like heaven! Cindy says with a certain thrill. I hate to cut this short but I need to go over the plans while it is quiet I will have to talk to you in the morning I love you Cindy! I know your plate is full I just wanted to hear your voice I love you too John! With her reply John hangs up the phone then unrolls the plans and begins going over structural changes as time passes. It is time to get a bath. John says to Don. Make sure the door is closed on the closet I don’t want anyone to find that because our fun will stop for all time! Don states. Do you not figure one day they’re going to catch us Don? Not as long as you do the thinking John I have to hand it to you you’re a very intelligent person there will never be another like you again! Why thank you Don likewise. John complements taking off his cloths; enters the walk in shower the water begins to cover his body. Finished John steps out, dries off, slips on a robe, walks out to the kitchen opens the refrigerator then looks out at the wine rack. We need to get red wine and season salt. John informs Don before he pushes the intercom button on the wall. Someone on the other end answers, Yes Mr. Hollander how can help you? Will you have someone bring up a bottle of red wine and seasoning salt oh and some stew blend and please have it on the counter when I return tonight? Yes Sir Mr. Hollander I will make sure it is taken care of! He walks back into the bathroom and opens his suitcase pulls out his cloths for the evening, gets dressed with Don stating, Red huh I love red with a fine bush I will make sure I get a little thigh with it as well! The buzzer chimes. We look like a lady killer! John states. Don makes his laugh while John pushes the button, Yes? Your driver is here so whenever you are ready to leave. John looks at his watch. Bill is always on time and you wanted me to get rid of him. John remarks to Don while informing, I will be down shortly. Don looks at his reflection. We do look nice. Don says. John walks to the door gets in the elevator rides it down to the lobby. You look nice! informs the young lady behind the counter. I thought you would be off by now. No I have a double I will be here late. John smiles then keeps walking. Bill you made it on time as usual. John says as he sees him. Thank you Sir I do try. Bill replies closing the door after John climbs into the back of the limo. They are staying at the studio on Main Street then take us to the new wave club for dinner and dancing. John informs. The city moves by with the light fading to night. They pick them up with time moving forward as they talk of small things. They arrive at the place for the evening. This place looks new age! The young blonde proclaims. It’s the best thing going right now you can dine, watch a movie, ballroom dance, or as the young generation calls it you can bump and grind! John looks toward the young blonde’s direction as he says it. She gives a hardy smile. Shall we? John holds out his arm in a motion for them to walk in front of him. Look at that ass John! Don proclaims then says, What we could do with that! The things I could show her! Do you have a reservation? The man at the door asks. John steps to the front. Mr. Hollander I did not see you standing behind them! Right this way, your room is waiting. They enter the room John patiently waits for everyone to be seated, then he sits. What’s with the huge viewing screens? They ask looking around. John gives a slight smile before answering. I was just about to explain those, inquiring, what shall we dine to, the sounds of nature? The water falls, or maybe, the waiter flips the different options as John calls them out, the soccer game, football? The water falls would be nice. The older man suggests. Then it is the falls. John informs. The staff pours their wines as their conversation starts. Mr. Hollander, do you dine here often? His granddaughter asks. I do every now and again and please call me John we have no business tonight let us just enjoy each other’s company. Okay John, she answers with a sexy tone. I try to make it a point to check in on things I own this place is a new wave idea. The older man looks at John then asks, How’s the return coming? Good we picked this place up at a steal believe it or not this use to be a place where the under class of society called home, John proudly informs. So how did you get it wind of it? he inquires. You just have to be aware of a deal when you see it also it helps I own a real-estate firm that keeps me in the loop. John answers while his mind flips to the work done by Don. You know you want to tell him how you really got it so cheap, all the dead women found have a way of driving a price down. Don says with a devilish tone. Grandpa I bet one of these would go great next to renovations in the old district! It is funny to mention that being I had intended to scope a place out when I got to London for the ground breaking on your new project, John informs them. Maybe we can find a location together, the granddaughter says. Perhaps, how is the food? John inquires. Good! each answers in turn. And the wine? Great! his company answers. John stands and raises his glass, A toast to well adventure, The older man adds, And a job well done! They raise their glasses and drink. Don looks down towards the blonde as fantasies play in his mind. This is unbearable, I must have her! Patience Don, you will get your release later. But it won’t be the same! I long to watch life run from her body feel her life force leave, she wants us, just look at her! Don proclaims. The dinner engagement moves forward with Don lusting after the woman he desires. What shall it be ballroom dancing or some bump and gridding? John asks of his companions. I’m not much for ballroom, says the middle aged man. I am not much into it either. His granddaughter informs. I guess it is bumping and grinding, John says. Well, I guess I shall retire, says the older man. Are you sure? John asks. Yeah, you younger generations go and have fun! John nodes his head in an okay motion, I enjoyed the company my driver will take you to where you are staying. I will talk to you tomorrow. They walk out John motions for his driver he walks over. Please take him to his room then give us a couple of hours then come back to pick us up. The older man and he walk away. John turns back to them. Where are we going now? The granddaughter asks. To the top floor," John answers as he points to the elevator. They walk
