About this ebook

The creation of a peaceful world by natural means of selection is highly unlikely without having the convergence of science with religion in the modern civilization. The American Philosopher Jesse C. Fleming, a retired Associate Professor, and the Divya Quran Educational Foundation of India both provided this convergence when they read my previous book, Terrorist Are Born When the Pairs Break, based on the same basic law of creation which is applied to this study.

Dr. Jesse C. Fleming wrote to me, I appreciate your idea that all existences from quarks to societies only function when there is a balanced complementariness of opposites or pairs, and your very logical conclusion that human rights too are possible only when this balance is maintained otherwise terrorism wins...... where as the Divya Quran Educational Foundation sent me a letter saying, We found the book as one of the best Islamic literature- far away from religious traditionalism...... the base of this book i.e. God created everything in pairs, and its detailed presentation singles out this book as the unique great human work. ............

I was profoundly encouraged with the two letters endorsing the convergence of science with the divine religion. We need this convergence for developing a global consensus for the creation of a peaceful world by natural means of selection.

Author

Engr. Abdul Ghafoor Khan

The author, Engineer Abdul Ghafoor Khan, a post graduate in Electrical Engineering from the United Kingdom, is a consulting Engineer by profession and has been the Head of Electrical Engineering Department in a prestigious consulting Engineering company in Saudi Arabia since 1981. He has been monitoring engineering activities since then in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Switzerland, the UK, Spain, Japan, Morocco, Egypt and U.A.E. for the projects of the company. He is a keen observer of nature and the follower of the advances in physics, particularly those which explain the behaviour of all forces and substances in nature, human beings included. He believes that the modern civilization is in spiritual crisis and one of the reasons is the conflict between science and religion which is created neither by science nor by religion but by the mankind itself because of its ignorance. It is explained in a specific chapter in this book. He was born in a Pakhtoon family in ex-princely state of Swat Pakistan which was merged later on by a military regime as the district of Malakand Division Pakistan in 1969 against the wishes of the people. This is among the major reasons because of which the exemplary progress and development of the valley stopped and the conspirators, later on, succeeded in subjecting the peace loving people to one of the most excruciating and dastardly acts of terrorism in human history, he says. The author was educated at his home town Saidu Sharif up to the higher secondary level at Wadoodia High School and Jahanzeb College before joining the then Engineering College, Peshawar University, known now as the University of Engineering and Technology Peshawar. Later on he went to the United Kingdom for higher education where his post graduate studies at the Master of Science level included: Transmission and distribution of electrical power, high voltage technology and switch gear technology. His professional career started in the Water and Power Development Authority (WAPDA) of Pakistan in 1967. While working in WAPDA; the government sent him to the Iranian Ministry of Water and Power on deputation where he worked for over two years as the Chief of the Electrical Power network of the province of Seistan and Baluchistan from March 1972 to August 1974. The author believes that we all are parts of a bigger body which is our natural world and that no one among us can build itself by destroying others. Such destruction disturbs the balance of the bigger body and hits back, he says. The damage to environments and the destruction of Afghanistan are among the easily understandable examples which he has proved in this study. He is an admirer of people in the West for their contribution towards making their great societies and advancing science and technology in the cause of humanity. However, some individuals, he says, who misuse the power of technology to kill innocent people, weaken humanity and destabilize our world do not deserve his admiration. Such acts of terror, he believes, committed either by misusing technological advancement and false religious indoctrination or by creating conditions of hunger and under nourishment, are allowed neither by any norm of civilization nor by any divine religion. The author has already written three books namely ‘Quiet Violence’, ‘Kalabagh Dam’ and ‘Terrorism’, all being in Urdu language for domestic readers. His forth book is in English language and its name is “Terrorists Are Born When the Pairs Break”, bearing ISBN: 978-1-4490-2523-4 and printed simultaneously by Author House in the U.K. and the U.S.A. The book is available from Author House and other famous sites.

    THE BALANCE

We, no matter whatever we are and whoever we are, are all parts of a bigger body—our natural world. As such no one among us can build itself by destroying others. Such destruction disturbs the balance of the bigger body and hits back. The damage to environments and the destruction of Afghanistan are among the easily understandable examples. Both have severely hit us back.

    ACKNOWLEDGMENTS

As this book goes to the press, I would like to thank—too many to be named—those scientists whose discoveries developed my understanding about the basic law of creation and its application to writing this book. Albert Einstein, Paul Dirac, Stephen Hawking, Galileo, Newton and the famous science writer Dr. John Gribbin were among those who inspired me most.

I must not forget to appreciate the great societies who created conditions for the scientists to advance the knowledge of science and technology—the knowledge which is essential to understand the balance of nature and the All-powerfulness of the Almighty God. The United States, the European Union and Japan are among the leaders.

I cannot help thanking the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the peaceful and progressive environment and for encouraging those who study nature and the religion of nature.

I do wish to thank the publisher, Author House, for the quality of its work which I liked in the case of my previous book, Terrorists Are Born When the Pairs Break. I am confident that the quality shall be the same if not better in the edition of this work.

I feel it is my duty to thank those who suggested and even gifted some good books to me like my relative Ahmad

Qadir and my colleague at our Paris office, Mr. Lloyd Land. Both were very kind to me in this regard. My relatives, Taj Hamid and Dr. Basharat, cannot be left out of this acknowledgment. Both assisted me whenever I needed their assistance.

His Excellency Miangul Aurangzeb, the Crown Prince of the former princely state of Swat, and Dr. Najeebullah Khan, a renowned physician in Swat, are among those intellectuals who were very kind to listen to me with interest if I had to describe anything about my work. Their appreciation has always been a source of encouragement for me. I am greatly indebted to them.

There are two other names that were instrumental in boosting up my moral hugely to continue my research on the balance of nature when they read my previous book, Terrorists Are Born When the Pairs Break. One is the American Philosopher Dr. Jesse C. Fleming, a retired Associate Professor, and the other is the Divya Quran Educational Foundation of India. Their appreciation was the type of convergence, regarding science and religion, which I needed most to advance my theory for universal application. I am most obliged to them.

Finally, I would like to express my heart felt prayers for my children: Humera and her husband Inamullah Jan, Dr. Aliya Ghafoor and her husband Dr. Junaid Yusuf Zai, Dr. Asad Ghafoor and his wife Dr. Munizeh Khan and Dr. Ali Khan and his wife Dr. Sara. They proved to be a powerful team to support me.

It will be unfair, if not dangerous, not to thank my wife Razia for her patience and encouragement to allow me to spend most of the family time during this study.

As for the mistakes, they are naturally exclusively mine. There is still a lot to do. It is just the beginning.

    CHAPTER-1

    black.jpg

    INTRODUCTION

The universe, despite its infinite vastness, is governed by laws which can be understood by human mind. The AG Two Stages Theory of the Universe, presented here, and its application to creating peace around the globe by natural means of selection is one of such examples.

The Theory is based on my research work about how to combat and defeat terrorism at all levels of the society, that is; home, street, village, city, country and the globe. Terrorism, the disguised enemy of ours, exists everywhere. Even parents, for example, become terrorists quite often when they find time for everything but not for their children. Children, produced in such homes, stepped into adulthood with distorted personalities, and as potential terrorists. Such adults create conditions which are conducive enough to breed other terrorists.

I used the phrase ‘disguised enemy’ for terrorism because it remains undefined so far despite the protracted efforts of the august body of the United Nations. The reason of this dangerous void in the international law is simple. Member nations have been trying to define terrorism by using their own languages which are subservient to their vested interests. This attitude is an impediment to global convergence on the acceptability of the definition. But such convergence is vital for anything to find its prestigious place in the charter of the United Nations.

How can we fight and defeat an enemy without having been seen and recognized?

Therefore, it is the need of time to define terrorism by using the language of nature—a language which is needed to understand the laws of nature, governing the functioning of all existences in the universe.

The word ‘existence’ is used purposely because it is the core of my research work. It took me over a decade and a half to start understanding the basic law of the creation of existences by using the relationship of science to society and the divine religions—a relationship which is vital for the needed convergence.

Existence is anything—living or non-living; concrete or abstract. There is nothing in this universe which does not qualify itself to have the name existence. Even non-existence is an existence. Terrorism is the non-existence of peace, for example. The introduction which I am writing is an existence and the one which is read is an existence. The smallest particle of matter, quark, is an existence but universe is also an existence. I am an existence but my readers are also existences. We all are existences no matter where ever we are and whatever we are. It is this universal truth which shows that we are all members of the same family of existences, governed by the same rules of nature and are equally entitled to have the right to live and enjoy the benefits of natural justice.

Knowing the meaning of existence, we need to find how an existence is created and then its life is sustained. Creation and the sustenance of the creation are both equally important. This is why my theory is named, The AG Two Stages Theory of the Universe. AG is my initial.

The theory originates from the scientific discoveries which show that God has created a balanced and symmetrical universe by creating everything in pairs. This symmetry could not be found broken even at the level of the Higgs particles, demonstrated recently at CERN in Switzerland. We may call this symmetry or everything having been created in pairs the universal complementariness in this study.

While discovering this scientific philosophy of the creation, that is, the Two Stages Theory, I came across another amazing result which helps in understanding how all existences in nature function as one integrated body in the shape of our universe. The functioning of all existences as one body is not a new thing. It is discovered by scientists already. The new finding, in the case of the two stages approach of the creation, facilitates easiness in the understanding of the social functions of the universe and its application to comprehending the dependence of the creation of peaceful world by natural means of selection.

This theory has been presented by a diagram which depicts the fundamental principles of nature regarding: the creation of every existence, the sustenance and development of the created existence, and integration of all existences to function as one body in the shape of our universe. The diagram is named AG diagram after my name and is a composition of 5 existences (things) represented by Alphabets A, B, G, C and D. They are named as AG universal factors because of their universal applicability to everything. The role of factor D is extremely interesting as it is showing also how all elements of the universe (human beings included) are depending upon one another and functioning as one integrated body in the shape of our universe.

The two stages principle means that any existence, say G, needs two pairs—one say A, B for its coming into being and the other say C, D for its sustenance, development and universal integration. The 5 universal factors show another way of understanding our natural world, our life and the universe at large.

The diagram is applicable to any existence and gives also a simple technique of how to create a global welfare state from: man to home, to street, to village, to town, to district, to province, to country and to globe in order to defeat terrorism and to bring about peace at all these levels by natural means of selection.

It is this diagram which tells us that man can be treated as a state and the basic building block of all other states of higher dimensions i.e. home, street, village, town, district, province, country and globe which are linked together by the factor D of the AG diagram.

    The theory reveals that:

The healthiness of any existence is dependent upon the healthiness of all other existences. This is scientifically proved by the factor ‘D’ of the Theory which shall be explained later on.

We all existences exist in pairs and maintain the balance of the universe by balanced complementariness. Terrorism wins only when this balance is broken.

No existence can build itself by destroying and weakening other existences. The destruction hits back and damages the existence which destroys other existences.

The damage to environment and the destruction of Afghanistan are two of the easily understandable examples. Both have hit us back.

I enjoyed the inaugural speech of President Barack H. Obama (January 20, 2009) as it was all based on the realization and importance of a strong factor D of the AG diagram. His first address to the joint session of Congress was even more enlightening about universal complementariness and the role of factor D when he said: In words and deeds we are showing the world that a new era of engagement has begun. We know that America cannot meet the threats of this century alone, but the world cannot meet them without America.

The statement is a wonderful confession of facts but I may add that it has been the rule of nature not only for this century but for all times since the creation of the universe and will remain so till the end of the universe.

The policies of domination and bullying over others will always cause weakening of factor D i.e. all what is external to one’s own self. It shall hit back as scientifically proved by the AG diagram. The dire situation of the US economy, admitted by the President in one of his early speeches, is a credible example, substantiating the scientific results of this study. Similarly the current rise in terrorism is another example of how a degraded factor D functions according to the rules of nature.

Finally, having written this study I may admit that the work is a small effort towards creating peace around the world and that it may be like a drop in the ocean or even less than that. But we cannot afford to keep quiet and watch the destruction of the balance of our natural world anymore. We have to utilize whatever resources we have to prevent this destruction and make the mother earth a safer place not only for us but also for our children generations.

    PHYSICS AND ITS RELATION

    TO THIS WORK

Science is used by people for making machines but you have applied it to the making of man. This is what was said to me by a book seller at BORDERS in Tucson, Arizona, USA in the summer of 2009 when I explained to him my Two Stages Theory and the meaning of existence. However, it is up to the readers to decide how much the statement is substantive. Our job here is to know the meaning of the science of physics and its relation to this work.

According to the Longman Dictionary of Contemporary English, the meaning of Physics is the science concerned with the study of physical objects and substances, and of natural forces such as light, heat and movement.

Keeping in view the given definition of physics, we may ask ourselves:

    Are we not physical objects?

    Are we not substances?

Are our actions and functions not related to natural forces within our bodies and to natural forces external to our bodies?

The answer to all these questions is that we cannot exclude ourselves from having been physical objects, substances and forces of nature, no matter whatever we are, who ever we are and where ever we are.

To sum up the above, we may also say that existence is another name which is common to physical objects, substances, nature and natural forces.

If not, what is an existence then?

The fact is that there is nothing which is outside the scope of qualifying itself to have the name existence. Even the non-existence itself is an existence and that it does exist in one form or the other. Terrorism is one form of it which itself may be called the non-existence of peace.

Thus, physics is the science concerned with the study of existences including peace and terrorism. We may also say that physics is the science concerned with the study of nature, knowing that nature is the collective name of all existences (including ourselves) created by God.

Having reached this level of understanding, we may simply say that physics is the science concerned with the study of nature, and all other sciences are the branches of physics including social sciences. Therefore, physics can be applied also to the understanding and making of the human machine and to creating the world’s most pressing need; that is, peace on the planet earth by natural means of selection.

    THE BASIC LAW OF CREATION

It is an amazing gift of God to create everything in pairs and make the laws, governing the universe, understandable by human beings. This symmetrical and balanced nature of the universe has been discovered by scientists mostly in the 20th century. It could not be found broken even in the new millennium when man could go further down the scale to reach the level of the Higgs particles. However, this miraculous finding has a strong bearing on the continued search for the truth, conducted by the courageous thinkers and scientists in the 16th century and onward. It was despite the restrictions, warnings and religious persecution by the Inquisition. The process began with the work of Nicolas Copernicus in the 16th century, which suggested that the Earth is not the centre of the universe as mystically predicted by the Ptolemaic model of the universe. The study gained momentum after Galileo used a telescope to obtain the crucial evidence that the earth is indeed a planet orbiting the Sun. In successive wave of astronomical discovery in the centuries that followed, astronomers found that just as the Earth is an ordinary planet, the Sun is an ordinary star (one of several hundred billions in our Milk Way Galaxy) and Milky Way is just an ordinary galaxy (one of several hundred billions in the visible universe). They even suggested, at the end of 20th century, that the universe itself may not be unique which gave birth to the clue of parallel
