About this ebook

How many times have you been in a real life situation and had someone tell you, God will not put more on you than you can handle? These are not just words; this is a promise that is in Gods Worda promise from the creator of the entire universe, a promise from God who sent His Son to die for our sins so that we could have a real relationship with Him, a faithful and merciful Father who will not give us more than we can endure.

Only through faith, fasting, and the love of God can we endure life altering events such as sicknesses of both parents. Also holding them as God reaches down to bring your Momma to Heaven and then two weeks later holding your Daddy as again God reaches down and brings him home to Him and Momma. Parents dying in the arms of their daughter can only be endured by faithand that is Gods awesome mercy and amazing grace. And in that is the promise of God saying You can handle this.

Author Cindy Nelson Smith lived these words as she and her family watched her parents go through the sicknesses and various trials and pain and broken hearts that life can bring. Only a loving and merciful Father can bring you through these and all things in life. It is a promise that He will not let us go through anything without Him and His helper, the Holy Spirit, as well as the sacrifice and ever-present love of His Son, Jesus. Its a promise that will not change and will last forever through in any situation. Life is not easy; Jesus even told us that. Even so, we are not alone, ever. We have to trust in the promises of God. He will help us, love us, and guide us; He will not give us more than we can endure. God doesnt break His promises, and thats a promise too.

Cindy Nelson Smith

The legacy that Cindy Nelson Smith’s parents left behind was that of faith, a true soul searching faith, in our Heavenly Father. They taught her through examples and words that she must trust in God for everything. She and her family stood beside them through ten years of three separate cancers, heart attacks, a heart transplant and any complication that could occur and then the death of her parents only 2 weeks apart. Her parents’ faith, along with God’s mercy and amazing grace, was the strength that helped them as well as Smith herself.  Smith is married and has children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who need to know the faith legacy that has been passed down.

    For me

    Preface

This book is for anyone who may go through trials in life that seem too heavy to bear. We need to trust that we have a Heavenly Father who created us and loved us so much that He would send his Son to die for the sins that separated us from Him. He sent a Comforter just like Jesus promised. That Holy Spirit is the very presence that walks with us daily. Sometimes He carries us and we don’t even know it, until we look back and say how did I make it through that? That’s when we praise God with a thankful heart, knowing He is with us and He will never leave us or forsake us. He didn’t create us to walk on this earth without Him. He created all of us to love and guide us; if we have faith and know that faith is: "The substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1)

She had made them for him so that he would be more comfortable as he would sit outside to get some fresh air. The humming bird feeder was empty. Empty hanging flower pots hung from the chains on the porch. It wasn’t time to replant flowers yet. Wind chimes making a sweet sound in the cool breeze, with the word Welcome on the top, hung from the rafters. As I looked at the door there was the ramp that we worked so hard to get right, just for him so that he would not miss the
