My definition of a Kingdom man and an understanding of GOD’s purpose for such necessitate a journey of enlightenment. To be enlightened implies that one has an understanding of a need and has pursue that need to victory. As a man, I have found myself questioning different aspects of my needs in life that have strengthened my endurance, soothed my steadfastness and nurtured my patience.       I would like to dedicate this Reflections of a Poet to my beloved Busola

      I know we have had a journey worthy of testimonies thus far. I thank GOD for the grace HE counted me worthy of you when we met, the joy and peace we share, the prosperity and welfare that is in our house.

      I love and appreciate you for your patience and the grace you have added to my growth and love for CHRIST JESUS.

      Introduction to the Updated Edition

      Reflections of a Poet was originally published in 2007. It has been a great blessing to my life to share of my GOD given grace with you. This book of poems has since grown to reflect my journeys through the battlefield of my mind; renewed in the spirit of my mind, forced through the winepress of life, filtered through the paradox of loving women, fought the good fight of faith, surrendered to my Redeemer as I removed worthless things from my eyes, stood and still stand strong in power of agreement that I can do all things through CHRIST JESUS, who strengthens me.

      As I grew from being a single man struggling with his faith as a carnal Christian into a man renewed in the spirit of his mind and fruitful for GOD’s plans and purpose in my life, I have captured my turning points in words I have carefully expressed in hope of reassuring all that GOD’s grace is sufficient to meet all our needs and by HIS grace we can please HIM.

      I believe this book will benefit you whether you are a believer in CHRIST JESUS or simply a person interested in poetic arts. I share this gift and the grace GOD, through JESUS CHRIST, has given me to say and express that JESUS CHRIST IS LORD in my life.

      Part I: About Faith

      The following poems are an affirmation from my heart and a reflection of the essence of my very being of how truly wonderful it is to love the MOST HIGH GOD and to honour HIS SON and my KING JESUS CHRIST, for the awesome moments I still have to grow and become enlightened within the confines of HIS everlasting light.

      Does God Exist

      Fathom out, if you may, how much joy a person could possibly have

      Consider, if you can, how much victory everyone can have to secure a life of peace

      Comprehend, if you can, why wealth without a life of wholeness and welfare

      If nothing else, is but poverty compounded with regret

      Follow HIS WILL, if you can…

      And HIS WILL, will guide you continually

      And satisfy you in all draught and dry places your life may have

      Enlist in HIS army and follow HIS WORD on love to victory

      Entrust your heart and soul to HIM

      Entrust your mind and strength to HIM

      For all HIS WAYS lead to enlightenment

      And if you are willing and obedient, as I AM directs you to,

      You, like me, shall enjoy the good of the land

      The fabrics of time may challenge you to contradict HIS WILL

      But if you will accept this call to order

      Every challenge and test of your faith will bear great fruits of testimony

      For when you realise that GOD does exist in your life…

      Your strength and grace to live will be your source of great joy and peace

      For then will prosperity and welfare, like running rivers of water, refresh your life

      With such great seeds of joy and peace that all will see in you

      The answer to that elusive question

      Does GOD exist?

      I therefore with all humility, challenge you and yours

      Seek HIS WILL in HIS WORD as defined in the bible

      Find HIS joy and perfect peace by loving HIS son,

      The prince of peace…

      Have I not said I miss you

      I seat in the mist of strangers

      Wondering where you are

      I start my day refreshed in you

      Yet at times the concept of who I am

      Conflicts with the inspiration and truth revealed

      By my companion and trusted counsellor

      I yearn for you, just to please you

      Yet I confess I am unaware

      I have not the spirit of fear

      But thy spirit of power, of love and of a sound mind

      Thus I turn my eyes away from worthless things

      And
