    Lord, I dedicate this book to You. May it bring full glory to Your name. You will always be the One in whom my soul seeks after. Thank You for laying down Your life so that I may find a true life hidden in You. You are my greatest inspiration, motivator, and strengthener. I love You with all my heart, soul, and mind.

    To my family and friends, thank you for your words of encouragement and support.

    To the body of Christ, together we stand as one with Jesus as the head. Your prayers really do make a difference.

    Introduction

    I would be lying if I said that once I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior that my journey instantly became smoother. Truth is, the Christian life is one of many trials, sufferings, and persecutions. Every day as followers of Christ, we are engaged in a spiritual battle with spirit versus flesh. It is crucial to know that although Jesus already defeated the enemy over 2,000 years ago, it is still up to each believer to contend for their faith and walk in the liberty of the Spirit.

    Songs of Redemption is my personal testimony of how God continually reveals His grace, mercy, and unconditional love for His children. God makes His power and presence known whether you are on the mountaintop or are experiencing the valley’s low. This book contains a collection of poems, prayers, and scriptures that will uplift the spirit, revive the heart, and encourage all believers of Christ during their Christian journey.

    A Wonderful Love

    The sweetest love You have given to me

    Is everlasting and will always be

    The greatest love of all mankind;

    The additional love which no other can find.

    Accepting this love which no other can take,

    I hold on to it with the warmest embrace

    Because I know that this is real.

    No words can describe how you make me feel.

    To prove that your love won’t be replaced

    I’ll keep it in the safest place.

    Within my heart it will not flee;

    I’ll lock it up and throw away the key.

    Heavenly Father up above,

    Thank You for sending me such a wonderful love.

    Heavenly Father,

    Your love is so real and sweet that it cannot be expressed in words. You have demonstrated Your love for me by sending me Your only Son, Jesus as a living sacrifice. I cannot thank You enough for caring for me so much. Thank You for keeping Your hand upon me even when I did not always acknowledge Your Presence. You are my King, Redeemer, and Savior. For this Lord, I give You praise. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

    For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. (John 3:16)

    Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. (1 John 3:16)

    Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God. (1 John 4:15)

    We love him, because he first loved us. (1 John 4:19)

    For the Lord loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever (Psalm 37:28a)

    JESUS

    Whenever I’m feeling sad and blue,

    Immediately I will ponder on a God

    Who remains faithful and true.

    O Jesus, Jesus Prince of Peace

    I ask of You please hear my pleads.

    Incline Your ear unto my call.

    Hurry, Lord I’m threatened to fall.

    O Jesus, Jesus when I say Your name—it erases all my pain.

    I really need You in my life.

    My soul cries out for the One

    Who was crucified.

    O Jesus, Jesus whom washed away my sins.

    Without a Redeemer, the devil will

    Gain the upper hand.

    O Jesus, Jesus I’m Your number one fan.

    O how I need thee, Son of Man!

    Heavenly Father,

    The pain I’m feeling right now is so deep and indescribable. I have been badly hurt and the sorrow feels unbearable. As the tears flood my eyes and drop to the floor, I am reminded of Your love for me. You did not spare the life of Your own Son when He was brutally beaten and nailed to the cross to die for my sins. You are touched by my feelings of infirmities (Hebrews 4:15) so I know that You understand everything I am feeling right now. I know that You are always with me even through pain and suffering. Everything I am going through in this life, You have already overcame (John 16:33). Now that I have been redeemed through Your blood, I will overcome too (Revelations 12:11). May You receive the glory through me. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

    And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be delivered: for in mount Zion and in Jerusalem shall be deliverance, as the Lord hath said, and in the remnant whom the Lord shall call. (Joel 2:32)

    And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross. Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:8-11)

    Trust in him at all time; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah (Psalm 62:8)

    Offer unto God thanksgiving; and pay thy vows unto the most High: And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify me. (Psalm 50:14-15)

    I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. (Psalm 40:1)

    Watching Over You

    I watch over you while you’re sleeping;

    Brushing kisses gently upon your cheeks.

    My loving-kindness is with you in the morning;

    Lasting through all eternity.

    It is my very own blood which flows through you;

    Rushing deeply within your veins.

    It is I Who’ve created the stars, sun, moon, and skies;

    In my palm I have engraved your name.

    My covenant with you shall never be broken.

    Haven’t I kept every promise to you I’ve made?

    Surely, no other can love you like I can.

    From the womb I have called you by name.

    You are a chosen generation.

    You are precious in my sight.

    You are my beloved child.

    My goodness and mercy will follow you,

    All the days of your life.

    Heavenly Father,

    I pray that You will help me to experience Your love for myself instead of trying to search for it in all the wrong places. Remind me of Your promises as I meditate on Your Holy Word whenever I feel alone or discouraged. You said in Your word that Your love is poured in my heart by Your Holy Spirit (Romans 5:5). Let me receive Your love and in return spread it to others. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

    And hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. (Romans 5:5)

    Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever. (Psalm 23:6)

    Show thy marvellous loving kindness, O thou that savest by thy right hand them which put their trust in thee from those that rise up against them. (Psalm 17:7)

    Cause me to hear thy loving kindness in the morning; for in thee do I trust: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk; for I lift up my soul unto thee. (Psalm 143:8)

    Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee (Jeremiah 1:5a)

    Peace

    My peace I leave with you;

    It is by My grace you are saved.

    I calm the tempest storms in your life;

    It is the humble in spirit I’ll raise.

    You have been selected from this world, to be set apart and made holy in My sight.
