Dancing Naked Before God - Fitzroy Othello Jr.
Chapter 1
Let the Praise Begin!
Then from the throne there came a voice, saying, Praise our God, all you servants of His, you who reverence Him, both small and great!
(Revelation 19:5)
A bride is being prepared in the earth for her lover and her Lord, and the time of His coming is so close that I can feel it in my bones. The feel of it makes me sing on my bed at night, for my eyes have seen the King of Eternity, the Lamb upon the throne Who reigns forever. He has overcome rebellion against God and its terrible effects upon creation by living a sinless life and dying as the Lamb of God and being raised on the third day as the conquering Lion of the tribe of Judah. Then He ascended to sit next to the Father on His throne as the King of all Kings and the Lord of all Lords.
Several years ago, I became aware of the fact that Christ is coming sooner than most of us believe. I cannot give a time period, but I know that His coming is soon. This was quite a revelation to me, because at the time it came to me, my credo was work hard, play harder
—and my play was not biblically approved, to say the least. At that time, I was a student at the University of the West Indies (UWI) on the island of Trinidad in the Caribbean, reading for a degree in English.
Play, to me, was riotous living, and work was my effort to graduate with honors. This island is my home and has been for all of my life, so quite naturally, I knew where all the best spots to play were. In other words, the nightclubs and pubs. I was not always inclined to find my entertainment in this manner. I grew up as a pastor’s kid in a Baptist denomination on my island.
However, during my early teens, I began to have unusual difficulties coping with life. In addition to the normal teenage traumas
of newfound sexuality, alcohol, and peer pressure, I was faced with the dilemma of having been born a seer. From birth, I have been a prophet like Jeremiah (Jeremiah 1:5), with the ability to see into the supernatural and possessed of great spiritual insight and abilities.
I have always enjoyed a very close walk with the Holy Spirit, and as a young child, He told me to tell no one of my spiritual inclination. So I kept silent and led a secret life as a seer for most of my life until my secret life and my public life collided, leaving my life a twisted heap of wreckage when I was diagnosed as schizophrenic by a psychiatrist whose paradigm of life had no room for my existence as a perfectly sane individual.
At five years old, I had the first visitation that I can remember by the Father. I was in my bedroom, sitting at my table, when the spiritual atmosphere of the room suddenly changed. There was a huge, golden beam of light in front of me, and God spoke to me out of the midst of
