About this ebook
To the misunderstood teen, mother, father, wife, and husband, For the People is our story as it expresses the disappointments and trials that have dictated our decisions. The feelings of loss friendships, the memories that will forever linger as what ifs in our minds, and the promise of success will forever unite us as a people. This book was written For the People, the human being that dwells in all of us despite being at times oppressed by our minds and shackled in our hearts. This book is for you. This book is for us.
When embarking on a journey we hope for smooth travels; however, as most have experienced journeys have obstacles. Each time we overcome an obstacle motivation to continue on envelopes us, pushing us to endure. The pursuit of happiness is the largest obstacle in the journey of love as love does not always result in happiness and happiness does not always exist with love. Lovers Lane takes you through the obstacles leading to the path of happiness.
As the second piece this has been the most promising work.

Theodore Moody Jr, known to most as Teddy, began his writing career at the age of 19. At that time the Savannah native was unaware of his natural ability to connect deep thought with pen and paper. Through the "blood" of his pen Teddy has completed a plethora of poems and short stories; however, he has only selected a few to share with his audience. The reader will find the writings of Teddy to be not only capturing but also soul stirring. We thank him for penning the words that we ourselves were afraid to express.

The power of words has sometimes been underestimated throughout history. The story they tell…the thoughts they provoke…the questions they produce…can have the most amazing effect on a human life. Theodore Moody Jr., affectionately known to all who know him intimately as Teddy, has always had quite the love affair of words. Perhaps I didn’t recognize it though until his adult years. I mistakenly dismissed his strong desire as a child to listen to me read to him book after book…after book…until late…(and still there was just one more
) as a sign that there was nothing left for him to do after playing all day…so now we can read…because it’s too dark to play outside. I would say Ok, now let’s watch TV.
, but he preferred the books. Now, with the second production of a sequel of writings, I understand that words were caffeine to Teddy’s imagination and were going to be a major part of his life, even from that very early age.
As we grew into our roles as tweens and teens…and then that stage when by law you’re an adult (in mind you’re still on Similac) ,we still didn’t embrace what life was really about, Teddy always seemed to have a hint though. To see him express that on paper was a phenomenal thing to us. Since Teddy was a very physically active youth and it seemed he was mostly on ten
when it came to energy, it surprised me pleasantly to see the results of what takes discipline, thought, concentration, and sometimes just being on one
to pull together a collection of writings that reflect just that.
It is always exciting to witness how someone develops their passion. I am very proud to see how Teddy has developed his…more importantly that he has chosen to share with us and the world this passion through his collection of words. This newest collection will produce all the emotions that we adore about a good read…a genuine smile, a heartfelt tear, a prolonged thought, and for those who are closest to this new author an emotion that perhaps cannot be produced with a facial muscle…only in the heart.
It is my honor to present to you-through his writings-this good fella
, Theodore Moody Jr. As he so eloquently puts it, ‘his words are the blood… and the pen is his heart."
Preface
I began the journey of writing this work at the end of 2008, during a period in my life I would describe as a calm after the storm
. My journey of writing began in the winter of 2001 during a time of great instability in my life. From the moment I picked up a pen and applied my thoughts to paper, my life forever changed. I found a way to channel my deepest feelings, and my inner most thoughts. As I read back what wrote, I began to understand more about myself, such as my fears and insecurities. I wrote on pieces of scrap paper, notebooks, boxes, anything I could find when
