About this ebook
When I was a little girl, I loved playing school and of course, being the teacher. I was a playmates worst nightmare, as every time, we had to play school and I got to be the teacher. Relatives were definitely not exempt, including my baby brother. If I wasnt playing school, sometimes I enjoyed playing church. I did not assign myself the role of pastor, but rather church pianist and performing the occasional baptism at the local neighborhood pool church. When the opportunity availed itself to teach at a Christian school, I was thrilled to be able to use my gifts for Gods Kingdom glory. I remind myself often of how rewarded I am to look back at some of the things my former students have said or done or accomplished. A few students have kept in touch over the years, and I have received updates about the wonderful contributions they are making to our society. Kibbles from Kindergarten is a recording of the many memoirs that my kids have provided me over the span of several years.

Kibbles From Kindergarten
After working with preschoolers for more than twenty years, I find that kindergartners can provide wise and wonderful insights into the ways and words of God. In many instances, I have found them to be wise beyond their years.
Their thoughts have helped me see a humorous side to situations that adults may see as overwhelming or unsolvable.
This work is a thank you to all the students who have brought so much laughter and life into my world, including my two very own, Travis and Ashleigh. Also, to my many wonderful colleagues who, over the years, have shared their own kibbles
with me once they found out what this book is about. To my first mentor, Lynne Moore, who encouraged me to record all the wonderful and funny things as they happened over the years, and for believing in me enough to set me on my official path of teaching, going so far as to entrust me with her own daughter in one of my first classes. To my parents, David and Anna, I thank you for not only supporting my dreams, but for also financing them.
Last, but certainly not least, a wonderful thank you to my supportive husband, who though not a big fan of little people,
has donned numerous ties and attended many events in which he had no children of his own participating. For serving as cameraman, stagehand, assistant teacher, and field-trip driver—and for allowing your living room to be turned into a music room, I am deeply grateful.
To all my future students, I look forward to meeting you and adding your memories to my archives, which I will look back on with much fondness, I’m certain.
For all of you, my prayer is that as you continue on your journeys in this life, may you continue to nibble on God’s Word and find it delicious!
Forgiveness
For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
—Romans 3:23
We learn this Bible verse at the beginning of every school year. Most students learn it quickly and easily and I reference it frequently throughout the lessons we study. I want my students to recognize the wonderful gift of grace that we’ve received from
