    I felt compelled to write this book about love and peace, to tell the stories the patients present to their love ones, and the response of how the loved ones react. When my son, Michael, was a leukemia victim, he tried very hard not to react to the serious effect the various drugs had on him. I tried not to show my concern but showed all the love I could muster up for him. When he was twenty-one, we were sure Michael was cured. Our message is, “Never give up, never give in, try harder. The harder you try, the better your chance.”
