9781449723156_TXT.pdfAbove all I give thanks to God for helping me get through the writing of this book. When a very monumental task as writing a book is undertaken, there are many that make it possible. Those who believed in my dream are given my thanks and gratitude
I give thanks to my wonderful husband who patiently put up with the book pages and papers scattered all around.
Thanks also to Dr. H and Dr. S and my group who listened to the chapters patiently as I read to them and for their input that was given to me.
I give thanks also to best friend Shirley who always had a listening ear when I needed to talk. God has blessed me with one of his richest gifts in my friend.
Thanks to my daughter Angela who helped me type and edit my book. She also let me pick her brain. I love her much and give her my heartfelt thanks.
The backing of my wonderful husband and children has helped me in writing and making possible my book which I dedicate to Angela my beloved daughter.
The following tells of the battles faced by cancer patients and was written by Angela.

During this period of questioning and having to make decisions based on available information, it is important that those involved in a patient’s treatment and care be aware of the emotional and psychological upheaval and feeling of devastation the patient will experience.
The determination of a patient’s illness as cancer causes a variety of reactions from both patients and those that are an integral part in their lives. These responses vary based on prior knowledge and understanding
