    Dedication

To Jesus Christ. I Want To Walk In Your Footsteps.

In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths (Psalms 3:6)

The journey through life with each day is fleeting

We pray to God for His leading

His guiding light is the gift that is given

No darkness to follow in our daily living

I want to walk in your footsteps

Use my life awakened by your call

Lead me to drink from the living well that can heal us all

I want to walk in your footsteps

Please take my heart and still my soul

Let me leave an imprint of love on mankind by hearing your call

Compassionate signs of truth to find

These things given to us by thy hand divine

Leading us onward to find rest in your strength

Abundant life is waiting for us to take

I want to walk in your footsteps

Use my life awakened by your call

Lead me to drink from the living well that can heal us all

I want to walk in your footsteps

Please take my heart and still my soul

Let me leave an imprint of love on mankind by hearing your call

I surrender even when the waters may rise

My desire is to be kept by our side

Teach me patience within your grace

Knowledge from wisdom is what I seek

I want to walk in your footsteps

Use my life awakened by your call

Lead me to drink from the living well that can heal us all

I want to walk in your footsteps

Please take my heart and still my soul

Let me leave an imprint of love on mankind by hearing your call

I want to walk in your footsteps.

    Preface

From an early age I began writing. I was a hopeless romantic, and still am. Writing enabled me to capture the way I dreamed about being loved and the way I wanted to love.

For a time as a child I shared a room with my youngest brother and I distinctly remember sitting at a small black desk
