About this ebook

This book of expressive poems were written as an inspirational aid to silent readers who needed a voice to vent, but could not find a platform. These poems were not meant to inflict pain on anyone or their situation. If this occurs to any reader, I do humbly apologize. My multipurpose poems were written from many different experiences; listening to others pain, joys or laughter, observations of distasteful situations, friends experiences, conversations with random individuals and numerous personal experiences. I do hope that you enjoy reading my poems, and that you find comfort in the intention of its purpose.

Isilda Modeste

Ms. Modeste was born on the beautiful island of Trinidad. Her passion for writing started at a young age. By age twenty she was preparing to fulfill her dream when an unfortunate fire destroyed all her work. The devastation from the destruction of her work caused her passion to go into hiding. She then focused on raising her children and she also earned a degree in education. Now that her children are grown she decided to refocus on her youthful passion. This is the author's second published book. She intends to continue writing as long as her dreams and blessings keep flowing.

    ABOUT THE AUTHOR

I dedicate this book to my friends, a few colleagues and anyone who have experienced life’s unfairness and injustices, but are still too affected to get over its mental woes.

I also dedicate this book to the families and victims of 911. Finally, I dedicate this book to those brave men and women, and their families who have made and continue to make the ultimate sacrifice for every one of us. Thank you!

    Gratitude

I would like to thank my editor and colleague Ms. Margie Crousillat for interrupting her personal life to assist me with my book.

I would also like to thank my Publisher and check-in coordinators Ms. Sarah Franz and Ms. Ashley Kirkpatrick for guiding me with expert advise and patience through the publication of my book.

I want to also offer my gratitude to the design theme for working so diligently on the organization of my book.

Lastly, I give a special thanks to my son Stevie for his dedication
