About this ebook

Books. poems and essays abound on the subject of death and loss. Some are inspirational, offering comfort and hope; some are educational, how-to, and practical; others are heart rending, putting into words emotions that the griever is unable to express.

This book is a collection of bereavement messages I have written for the Walk With Me grief group that I coordinated for a local funeral home. Its aim is to provide comfort in brief, hopefully insightful words without overwhelming the mourner.

May the Lord bless you and keep you on your grief walk.

This book is dedicated to the many courageous

people I have accompanied on their grief walk.

    Blessed are those who mourn

    for they will be comforted.

    Preface

Books, poems, and essays abound on the subject of death and loss. Some are inspirational, offering comfort and hope; some are educational, how-to, and practical; others are heart-rending expressions of emotions that the grieving reader is unable to articulate.

This book is a collection of bereavement messages I have written for the Walk with Me grief group that I coordinate for a local funeral home. Its aim is to provide comfort in brief, hopefully insightful, words without overwhelming the mourner.

May the Lord bless you and keep you on your grief walk.

    Walk With Me

Walk with me, Oh Lord I pray.

Give me Strength throughout the day.

Take my problems big and small,

Lift me when I tend to fall.

Walk with me, Oh Lord I pray.

Prompt me what to do and say.

Let me feel you always there.

Lift me when I feel despair.
