About this ebook

Since the Genie is the “ghost” writer for the book, it is appropriate to let the Genie say a few words about himself:

“I am a genie. You may wonder what that really means and how I come to write this little book. Well, fi rst of all, I am not from or of your world. I live in a dimension of fire and light. I am basically a fire spirit. Just so you know, we genies are alive. We don’t experience life as you do, but we are living, thinking creatures.

“You humans take us genies for granted. Most of you have very little idea of the tremendous service that we provide for your kind. Everything in your world that is of a fiery or electrical nature is administrated by a genie or djinn assigned to that function. Without us, your world as you know it would cease to exist. Even the very sun that is the source of life and nourishment for your planet is a mighty Djinn.”

From within the book, the Wizard Merlyn has a few thoughts about the book that he would like to share:

“Know, my little friend, that what you hold in your hands is a key to the mysteries of life, and that it has greater depth and importance than you initially can discern. Through these pages you have been given permission to enter other realms, and—once you have entered in, and as you maintain the requirements of each domain—you may travel within again and again for growth, learning, healing, inspiration and creation.”

    The Genie Story

A genie appeared in my living room one morning. As genie started granting wishes, my life changed. Part I is a history of that tale.

    First Contact Genie Magick

    12-25-09

Fifteen years ago today, twenty friends gathered in a small house in Hollywood, California to celebrate Christmas dinner-- and to toast GENIE. For three weeks now The Genie had been granting wishes, and each one gathered there had a true story to tell.

This little book is a document of that tale… how a genie appeared to me one day-- in my living room. Wow… you are probably doubtful like most mortals who begin to read this tale-- but it is based upon a TRUE story-- AND you are most welcome to read it as a fantasy if you prefer.

The Genie proved he could grant wishes. So I helped my friends through wish fulfillment, through The Genie’s help. OH MY! It was a trade of sorts… GENIE granted wishes and I was asked to become his typist and secretary so he could write his book. Within these pages you will find THE GENIE BOOK-- new and improved. GENIE will tell you what to have to do to get your wish granted… it is up to you, or so he says. Let me now introduce this story as I describe my first contact and the magick that ensued.

    Once Upon a Time--

Once upon a time, I thought I was a normal guy… well, almost. After all I ran a restaurant in West Hollywood…A PASTA PALACE. That is kind of an average job-- well, not really as day after day movie stars, rock stars, celebrities and chefs of billionaires would walk in and order iced cappuccinos, lasagna, lobster raviolis and more. Catering, wholesale, gift baskets and patio dining on Sunset Boulevard-- and it was all too exhausting.

Ahhh-- Finally a day off-- it was a beautiful Saturday in LA and I was hoping to make it to the Post Office… but it did not seem I would make it in time. After all it was twenty minutes away and it was only seventeen minutes before they closed. Oh well, maybe I would find the time Monday… but I really wanted and needed to go TODAY! I blurted out, I really wish I could make it to the Post Office on time!!

Then suddenly, right in the middle of my living room in my West Hollywood apartment-- mist within sizzling hiss-- and the sound of Arabian belly dancing music… and out of the smokiness appeared The Genie . He was fat and full of himself. He wore a bright red turban and had a shiny gold earring in his left ear. He happily played an ancient flute.

Of course, I could not believe he was real… but he assured me he was… and I was sure that my mind was playing strange tricks on me. I asked him his name and he told me I could call him Genie or The Genie. He told me that Genies would not willingly give up their name to a human… after all-- humans might then use it to trap them into a bottle or a ring and try to keep them as slaves.

You could not pronounce my Djinn name anyway, so let’s forget it, The Genie offered.

Well do you grant wishes GENIE? I asked.

Certain wishes for certain individuals in certain situations … he answered.

Ok I said, well then how about you get me to the Post Office on time.(which was about to close)

GENIE answered, No problem. And off we went.

I was sure that we could not make it as we only had eleven minutes to get there. I figured I would prove to myself and my overactive imagination that my mind was running out of control-- and then I could put this genie fantasy behind me.

I did walk fast-- as I wanted to do everything I could to get there on time. As we got to the Post Office it was 12:12 pm… 12 minutes later than normal closing time… but
