A Conversation with Jesus
PROLOGUE
In this book, the author would like to invite readers to discover how his protagonist Joel has a close friendship with Jesus.
Through him, we see the love Jesus has had for men, and how since his arrival in the earth he hasn’t ceased to be the messenger of God to accompany, guide, and instruct us on everything related to our Father.
In this book, readers will find a series of dialogues between Jesus and Joel, a humbled man that while teaching is learning about the importance of living according to God’s laws. Laws created for man’s benefit and not for his undoing.
This one is dedicated to all those who want to approach to the Lord’s words in a pleasant and educational way, without a series of biblical data that can make the text unclear. But on the contrary as a interesting conversation that someone could have with a great friend. In this case Jesus. The men’s savior.
I therefore hope that this text fully fulfills its function and that it becomes more than a sermon about what we should or shouldn’t do based on the word of God. It will be a book that encourages reflecting about how we are living our search of the Lord.

A Conversation with Jesus
- Hi, Jesus! Where are you?
- I’m here Joel, with you as always, and with all who believe in me and try to find me.
- Joel, thank you for believing in me, for being in the service of our Father.
- Thanks to You, Jesus.
- Jesus, sometimes I hear some people speak ill about me, they judge me for my belief in you, but I do not care that they do so.
- Why do you say that Joel? What do people think about you for believing in me?
- Well, they think I am immature, I’m weak, I’m a pleasure seeker and that I’m crazy. They even say: ‘you must get off of that cloud’. They think I’m ridiculous, a hypocrite, a liar, and a proud person. They even made up things about me.
- Joel, I am grateful to you and to all who despite being misjudged, still keep on believing. Joel, thank you and I thank all of them.
- Jesus, may I tell you one thing?
- Sure. Say whatever you want. That’s why we are here talking.
- You’re right, Jesus.
Jesus what do you think? Do you still remember Thomas? He is the little guy that is or was an alcoholic; I say he was, because it plenty of time has passed since he last drank. But he says he’s still an alcoholic because it is an incurable disease. But well. Everyone is free to think and believe what they want; I don’t want to get in the way, Jesus. I respect his thoughts.
- You are right Joel. Respect is a very big moral quality that gives you peace and a clear conscience. It makes you avoid many problems.
- Jesus, the most important thing is that he tells me many beautiful things about you and I learn from him. You know what he said? He told me that it takes a lot to be patient. I asked him why, and he answered: ‘because patience becomes a virtue and it produces a positive effect which has God as its main objective. Patience is a part of the character of our Father’.
- You’re right Joel. What father would not like his child to be patient? Each parent must be patient with their children as God is very patient with all His.
- Jesus, he also said that he had to build a close relationship with God to receive help that only He could give him. And that he did all he can to receive it. I’m also going to tell you a beautiful thing he told me.
- Tell me.
- He told me this: ‘I’m shipwrecked at sea, without a glimpse of hope. The ship had sunk but there was a log that I could use to float. In the distance, I saw an incandescent light. My hands were bleeding and without any physical force left. I came ashore, clutching the floating log and realized that the incandescent light was you, Jesus. Since then, I never let go of the log even after I reached shore. I stand firm by your side, Jesus. Now I am in the boat of salvation that is You.
- Joel, thank Thomas for me.
- Of course Jesus. Now you can see why I like talking to him.
- I would also like you to
