About this ebook

God is in the Rain

God is in the Rain is a fun and educational book that children will love to read. Parents and teachers will be happy to use it because it is informative as it teaches about nature and weather. Children will enjoy the book even more because they can identify with Brian, Chad and Michelle.

As Brian, Chad and Michelle play they are learning new words and their definitions. The children who are reading the book, or are being read to, will learn that new vocabulary as well.

God is in the Rain presents water and rain as necessities and dispels fear of thunder and lightning when Brian, Chad and Michelle learn about storms. They learn to respect the power of a storm and learn to follow the rules of safety. They are also introduced to Noah and the ark and animals of all kinds.

God is in the Rain tells of Gods love and children will feel secure knowing that God is always with them even in the rain.

    Preface

As a child and even into my late teen years, I was afraid of storms—not just afraid—terrified. I did not want my son Brian or other small children growing into adults with the same fear that gripped me during a storm. I wrote this story to teach children a healthy respect for lightning, not to fear thunder and to seek a safe shelter.

My desire is that children learn not to panic or become paranoid because of storms, but know what to do during one. To know that most storms are short and that thunder can’t hurt them. Most importantly, I want them to know that they are not alone—because God is always with them—even in the rain.

Most of the drawings were done by me in an attempt to illustrate the story and hold the interests of a child. Some things I simply could not draw and had to use clip art either from free clip-art.net or one of the bible clip art sites.
