About this ebook

My poetry are pieces of time that are captured like a snapshot. My intention is to share with a reader the insight of a different mind, heart, and soul. Those Reflections, Illuminations, and Perceptions connect with my deep feelings, inner thoughts, and utmost emotions to give a unique voice unheard of a place in poetry. The end result is a new beginning to an artistic stylish twist, my book called "R.I.P. Poetry Collection". I love words and I hope you do too. Also, I have included some of my original artwork in the back of the book. Enjoy!!

Author

Scott Anthony Choplin

I am from a little town called Saint Martinville in Louisiana. I love spending time with my two daughters; I enjoy movies, music, and living and learning in the moments whether good or bad. I always had a passion for art and in my twelfth grade year of school picked up on creative writing. I have a different way of looking at things, and I can see more clearly if I put the two together, my art and my poetry. I love words and I hope you love them as much as me. I have included some of my original artwork too. In conclusion, the book cover symbolizes everything I wrote from the end to the new beginning.

    About the Author

Dedicated to Gale Guidry and Roann Romero & in

Rememberance to all that has been affected from cancer or serious illnesses,

God bless those, we are all connected.

    Reflections

    A light

Live a life of action and be a light.

Forgive the over reactions, they just

see a spotlight. Make matters work

not worse. You are worth the goodness

you give to the sick and the hurt.

Listen and learn from the many concerned.

The wisdom of one can make the wrong

take a turn. So, as long as you feel the

burn, keep it real, and you will always

yearn. That’s right, I was told give it your

all and it will return to you ten fold.

Forget the over reactions, they just see a

spotlight. The elements of life can reach

many heights, but it’s up to you to be

    a light.

    A moment

In a moment, you will be seeing me.

In a moment, you will be leaving me.

In a moment, you will believe in me.

In a moment, you will be free of me.

All it takes is a moment, a glance,

    a chance, a dance, a moment.

    Beams of shining delight

Behind my cluttered thoughts, I shutter a

fine thought. I’m done with the fights I

fought. It’s time to see the feelings inside

me, feel them rising, and release those

beams of shining delight. Around the

circles in my head, I cover myself as I

lie in my bed to rest because I did my

best like I said. It’s no surprise that I

healed up right. I feel my life is bright,

whether I am awake or I am asleep

throughout the day or the night. I will

release those beams of shining delight.

    Blessed

You and I are blessed to rise every

day, to abreast the sun’s light, and

to rest, like the sun sets, for the

    night.

You and I are blessed to survive
