      INTRODUCTION

      Satan, I declare to you in the name of Jesus that you have no authority over the readers of this book according to Matthew 18:18. I bind you from operating against them in any way. Their lives are hidden in Christ. Satan, you have no power to bring any part of the curse upon the readers. I take my stand as a believer and we take our place in Christ.

      Now Father, we worship you. We give you reverence. We confess with our mouth that your word will not return to you void. We praise you for your protection and for your goodness upon our lives. We thank you that Satan is unable to penetrate that. Thank you for bringing total healing, deliverance, and completion to the readers of these prayers. Jeremiah 33:3 states Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.

      THE PURPOSES OF PRAYER

      Prayer moves the hand of God to work in the affairs of men

      Exodus 3:7 Acts 12:5 Jonah 2:1

      Prayer keeps us spiritually fit and alert

      Matthew 26:41 1 Peter 4:7

      Prayer transforms us into the image of Christ

      Luke 9:28-29

      Prayer unleashes the power and blessings of God

      Acts 2:1 Acts 4:23-31

      Prayer is God’s means of obtaining our material and spiritual desires

      Matthew 7:7-8 John 14:13-14 John 16:23-24

      Prayer and faith is like a combination lock. It blows open an array of heavenly blessings that Jesus is waiting, with much love, to give to whosoever will go after it.

      Mark 11:24, Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. NIV

      Confronting the Devil’s Tactics

      Many of these warfare prayers are taken from the book of Psalms. David’s prophetic prayers were weapons against the enemy’s attempt to stop the promised seed. David’s struggles were with natural enemies but behind these natural enemies were spiritual ones that were opposed to the Davidic kingdom. David’s victories in prayer opened the way for his throne to continue.

      Jesus was to come from this lineage and sit upon this throne. David was fighting something beyond the natural. Through the Holy Spirit, he was contending with the powers of darkness that were set against the arrival of the kingdom of God. That throne of wickedness was unable to overcome the throne of righteousness. These powers were also manifested through Herod, who attempted to kill the coming Messiah. Herod was driven by spirits of fear and murder.

      The Holy Spirit had already been loosed through the prayers of David and because of his prayers, David’s throne was secure. God taught David and he became a warrior king. His victories caused his kingdom to be established. His victory over the house of Saul came after a long war. 2 Samuel 3:1 states Now there was a long war between the house of Saul and the house of David. But David grew stronger and stronger, and the house of Saul grew weaker and weaker. David consumed his enemies and he did not turn until they were destroyed. (Psalm 18:37)

      Do not allow the enemy to strategize against you. Overcome and destroy Satan’s strategies through prayer. Ephesians 6:11 tells us to put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles, (tricks or traps) of the Devil. David prayed for his enemies to be scattered, confused, exposed, and destroyed.

      THE BLOOD OF JESUS AS A WEAPON

      The blood will paralyze and cut off the head of your enemy. Let the blood of the cross stand between you and any dark power that be delegated against family, church, and community. I believe that life and death are in your tongue.

      I eat with the heart of faith and the flesh of Jesus, for it is written His flesh is bread indeed; I eat it now so that I can also eat with Him in His glory.

      Leviticus 17:11 states, "For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you upon the altar to make atonement for your souls; for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul."

      The blood of Jesus contains the life of Jesus. I eat the flesh of Jesus to receive new spiritual strength, strength to paralyze the desires of my flesh, and vigor to paralyze the power of my flesh and make it obedient to the laws of the Lord. I apply the blood of Jesus by decrees and confessions.

      Hebrews 12:24, To Jesus the mediator of the new covenant and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.

      The blood of Jesus brings life to you, your family, and loved ones. The blood of Jesus can speak destruction to your enemies and bring healing to your body.

      ♦For it is written, life is in the blood, and as I eat and drink the flesh and blood of my Lord Jesus Christ, I receive into myself the virtues, strength, power, might, and anointing in the blood. I let the blood re-energize, revitalize, reactivate, and revise all dead potential and spiritual gifts within me.

      ♦Let the blood flush out all evil deposits from my system and let the blood clean my spiritual vision and wash all of my spiritual pipes that I may receive of the Lord unhindered blessings. I
