Bevin Summey
Bevin Summey showed a natural gift in writing at a very young age. Even greater, however, she had a strong passion for Christ and longed to help others know Christ as well. With Christ to guide her, she began to feel the need to use her gift of writing that God had given her to show the world who He really is. After she graduated in 2009, she finally began to fulfill that dream. The Love Letter, her first book, was released in September 2012, and has begun to amaze people at the simple yet powerful message. With the help of God, she’s fulfilling her dream as she continues to quietly work on her books within the little town of Dalton, Georgia.

Introduction
Imagine that it’s your birthday, and you have had a wonderful time. Everyone that you invited came and you received everything that you asked for. Nothing could make it more perfect. Or could it?
All of your presents have been opened, but for some reason you glance at the gift table. And there lying on the table, all alone, is a plain white envelope with your name printed on the front of it. Curious, you pick it up and open it. Before you read it, however, you glance at the bottom of the letter to see who it is from. You smile as you realize that it is from someone very special to you.
So then, without hesitation, you read the simple, hand written letter that says, I just wanted to let you know how much you mean to me. You have always been there for me no matter what. You are a very special person and your heartfelt kindness has always brought so much joy into my life. I love you so very much, and always remember that I will be there for you too.
Tears form in your eyes as you realize that this simple, handwritten, love letter meant more to you than any of the other gifts that you received.
9781449760199_txt.pdfGod has a similar gift for us. It is neither fancy nor expensive and is forgotten and lost within the more bigger and important
things most of the time. The gift? A love letter written with passion and care from God to His greatest creation: us.
Have you ever prayed to God before? More than likely, the answer is yes. Everyone has at least once in their life, whether they would honestly answer that question or not because when we pray, we have a sense of security and feel better about the situation that we are praying about. So here’s another question: Have you ever wrote a letter to God? The answer is probably no because you may think that it would be childish and immature to do such a thing. Or perhaps the answer is yes because writing a letter to God may help you feel secure and closer to God for writing a letter can seem a little more personal than praying aloud.
Here’s my final question: Have you ever received a letter from God? It is a hard question to answer, because many are either confused or misunderstand the question. So allow me to say this: God has not sent a letter with anyone’s name written personally on it, but He has sent a letter to those that He loves and who are His greatest creation: human beings. And that letter is called the Bible. God did not send it to just a few select people here on earth. He sent it to everyone, believers and nonbelievers alike.
In God’s Holy Word, He expresses love, concern, happiness, and sadness. He gives us advice and encouragement as we walk through this life. It is our love letter and gift to us. To deny this fact would be like we are denying that we exist. It is given to us due to the fact that God loves us so much, He wants us to have a map
that lovingly guides us along the path of life.
We are living proof that God loves us and wants to take care of us. We cannot deny that though our lives are difficult and stressful, there is light at the end of the tunnel of darkness and something marvelous will happen. So that leaves only two questions: Are we willing to let God help us? And will we accept God’s love letter? There is a reason that God gave us His letter and we are going to find out why. We cannot accept the letter lightly or else we will miss what God has to say to us. Now let us talk about the greatest and most powerful love letter ever written.
Romans 8:38–39, And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow – not even the powers of Hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below – indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.
CHAPTER 1
Joy and Sorrow
Mary sobbed quietly as she sat alone in her bedroom on her bed. She had just found out that her closest friend, Christina, and her husband, Josh, were killed in a car accident just a few hours ago. Their three-year-old daughter, Stacy, was in the back seat at the time. She was shaken up and had a few cuts, but was otherwise unhurt, though she was taken to the hospital as a precaution. Mary had stayed at the hospital a while, but was soon told that it would be a while before anything else would happen and just to go on home until they contacted her. So there Mary sat, feeling overwhelming sorrow and grief for her friend’s death.
Why, God?
she cried. Why did you take her? Why not me?
Finally Mary’s sobs began to cease, and though she was still heartbroken, she began to think and wonder about those questions and about Christina’s seemingly short life.
Christina had always been such a good person and a good Christian. She kept her faith in God strong and always was willing to help others. She even married a good man, both still pure, and eventually had a baby girl that they named Stacy. They remained a good, Christian family even through the ups and downs of life.
As for Mary, she was raised in the worst of conditions and eventually became rebellious and wild as a teenager. She met Christina in college when they
