    THERE IS A DIFFERENCE

W e live in a society that believes in living life directly, opposite of what the Word of God teaches. Isaiah 5:20 says,

Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

    And Genesis 1:3-4 says,

And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

"And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness."

The first thing that these passages of Scripture let us know is that, there is a distinct difference between light and darkness. They are not the same thing. They are as different as, the sweet taste of honey and the taste of a bitter herb. There is no way that you could mistake one for the other. Then God lets us know that there is woe or sorrow, mourning, weeping, and wailing awaiting those who pass off one for the other.

Some of the words and phrases that characterize light are as follows: to be luminous, glorious, bright, clear, shine, to set on fire, brilliancy, to ascend, be high, mount, life, rapid, and swift. Likewise, some of the words and phrases that characterize darkness are thus: dusky, very dark, obscurity, privately, misfortune, concealment, gloominess, thick, a trick, conundrum, withholding light, hide, misery, destruction, death, ignorance, sorrow, and wickedness. How could we possibly confuse the two.

And yet the god of this world system would have us to believe that light = darkness and darkness = light. The enemy wants us to believe that our way of doing things is just as good as God’s way of doing things. When I was growing up it used to be that, bad meant not good and good meant not bad, today in this modern culture the words are synonyms instead of being antonyms.

In the New Testament the Spirit of God gives us an example of how the enemy tries to pass off good as being evil. In Mark 3:22, listen to what the Scribes said concerning JESUS the CHRIST.

And the Scribes which came down from Jerusalem said, He hath Beelzebub, and by the prince of the devils casteth he out devils.

The Scribes accused JESUS of using the power of satan(Beelzebub- the prince of the devils), to cast out devils. In essence they were implying that the Spirit of God is not able or strong enough to cast out devils, and that satan is in the business of destroying himself. It also implies that JESUS and satan operate under the same standards, principles, and power and that they are apart of the same kingdom; because in order for JESUS to use the power of satan it would mean that they were in agreement and their purpose would have to be the same, which would mean that JESUS = Satan which is Blasphemy. It further more implies that the power of God is unholy and the power of Satan is holy, and that God has to use a power that is less than His own to defeat and destroy the works of satan, which is also Blasphemy. Do you see how ridiculous that statement is.

They said this not understanding that …" he who blasphemes against the Holy Spirit can never get forgiveness for it and is in danger of eternal trespass, Mark 3:29.

To blaspheme the Holy Spirit is to speak abusively against and to maliciously misrepresent Him. JESUS used the power of the Holy Spirit who is the Spirit of God to work miracles not the wicked power of satan. Never mistake one for the other.

Getting light and darkness, good and evil to seem as if they are the same thing, has been the enemies plan from the beginning, and it is a theme that runs throughout the length of the Bible. We need to know and understand that our enemies business is deception, it is his field of expertise. He has been studying us for years, all the while plotting and planning ways to stop us from entering into the divine will of God, and trying to keep us from knowing how he (satan) operates so that he can execute his plan with little or no resistance from us. Sometimes because of our ignorance, satan even uses us against ourselves. This is allowed by God for one reason. When you reject the knowledge of God by rejecting His love for us shown in the Person of JESUS the CHRIST, or do not take heed to the Word spoken to you by His Spirit; you then open up a door for the enemy to come in and he has legal right to do so. Then we cry and complain when the damage is done, but we need to stay sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit, then He will lead us and guide us into all truth.

    Chapter 1

    FROM THE BEGINNING

    What’s in a Name

A name is a word or phrase by which a person, thing, or class is known; word or words considered descriptive. To name something means to identify or to appoint to an office. So, a name of a person or thing, gives its attributes or characteristics. In those characteristics we find a persons nature or what comes natural to them. Looking at a persons nature we can discover, their abilities, desires, potential, power, and purpose. By looking at a persons’ or things nature, we can also see the way that they function and operate. All these make up a persons, depth of character and shows their personality. Now, let’s take a look.

    The Lowest Name

In the Hebrew language, the name satan simply means, adversary, enemy, accuser. To obtain a proper understanding of who he is and what he is up to, we need to go to his beginning and observe what the Scripture tell us about him. In this way we will not be ignorant of his devices. The Scripture describes him as a fallen angel, more exactly, in Ezekiel 28:14, we learn that he was the Anointed Cherub That Covers. He was given his position as a mighty prince in the kingdom of heaven to show forth the glory, majesty, and, praise of the Almighty God. As the Anointed Cherub, he was holy, righteous, full of wisdom and perfect, because he was the one who projected the glory , power and the wealth of God to every other angel. God had equipped
