    What would you do when the only path to your destiny is the path you never wished for? Each destiny has a price that we must pay. The path of the cross is that which leads to the crown. Life triumphs over death. Death only brings out life. Death helps to reveal the power of life. The path which is common to all men is the path which leads to nowhere. God had determined the seasons long before time began. He had also determined their appointed times and duration. In the eternal order the unfavorable must come before the favorable, darkness must precede light and evil happens before good. The blessing cancels the curse and sin shall abound that grace may thereafter much more abound. The script is the eternal master plan. There is nothing that can ever be added to or taken away from the script. It is eternally perfect and complete in its design and concept. There must be a time when evil is allowed to hold sway but good holds the trump card of finality.

      CHAPTER ONE

      THE SCRIPT

      The journey of life is the sole purpose of destiny. And destiny is the grand design by the will of God for the ultimate honor and glory of God. Just as no prophecy of the scriptures is of any private interpretation, so destiny is an eternal blueprint, master plan and agenda of the heavens. Each one of us is a chip on the great chess board of the ages. The mission of each destiny is for the unveiling of the great riches of grace and justice of God for the final decimation of the greatest adversary in the great controversy of the eternal ages. There is therefore not one single life in the entire universe without a God written purpose and script. Destiny is an eternal agenda that plays out in our time-life.

      Being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will—Ephesians 1:11

      To fulfill life is to fulfill destiny and to fulfill destiny is to discover that eternal purpose which is for the pleasure and glory of the Father of Creation. God is the author of destiny and purpose is the road that leads to that end.

      Then said I, Lo, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do thy will, O God—Heb 10:7

      . . . out of thy book which thou hast written.—Exod. 32:32

      What do we have concealed and yet revealed here? God has a book written concerning his will and purposes from the beginning of time to the end of time, from the eternity past to eternity yet to come. In this book are all the generations of man that shall be in all the days of the world. In this book are written all the kingdoms that shall arise and fall and of all the kings of the earth that shall be and their appointed times and estate. In this book are written the number of all the days of man on earth and of all the appointed seasons of life that shall be. In this book are written the character of every single soul that shall be born into the world and their assignment in relation to the eternal counsel of the will of Him who created all souls and all things. In this book are written all the wars of the nations and all the sequences of events that shall come to pass in the generations of the world.

      . . . and hath determined the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation—Acts 17:26

      Moses saw and read from the heavenly tablets that which was written concerning him and the children of Israel. The Son of God knew all that was written concerning him in the volume of the book.

      It is time for you to know what is written concerning you in the eternal volume and to understand the mysteries surrounding the paths of your life.

      The world is full of countless millions of people who do not exactly know where they are heading to. These myriads of people may say they are going somewhere but have no vision of where it is they are going neither can they define the place. There is always a place called ‘there’ and only those who have reached it can actually describe it. There are those who live with no crystal clear objective and there are those whose specific purpose drives them to live and exhibit a sense in that realm of supernatural realities. Then there are those who are in the motion of movement but actually going nowhere.

      So I run straight to the goal with purpose in every step 1 Cor. 9; 26 (NLT)

      With purpose in every step! What fine words. There is a purpose and a call of destiny for every life irrespective of whether you were born with a silver spoon or a wooden spoon in your mouth. Where and how you were born makes no difference. Your gender or the color of your skin has absolutely nothing to do with it. It takes a total inner realization of the call—which is the voice that gives reason to why you were brought forth into the world.

      I can not recall how many times I have had to watch a football match and being filled with anger because one of the teams plays casually with no intense hunger to win while the other plays with such intensity and passion to win at all cost. I have seen passion and intensity become a determining factor between winners and losers in every game and conflict. Therefore discovering purpose and pursuing it with every ounce of passion and intensity will bring each and every one of us to the place of the realization of dreams.

      The scripture says God winked at the days of ignorance. The light has come and it is shining bright in the face of the Son of God. If there had been wasted years, they are behind you now; because with the promise of the lord to restore to us the years which the locust has eaten, we can lay hold of the years ahead of us and make them much more profitable and fruitful. You are not here to just exist. You were born for a purpose!

      To this end was I born, for this cause came I into the world —John 18:37

      On 18 July, 1918, a little child was born in a little unknown district of the Transkei in South Africa. His name was Nelson Rolihlahla Mandela. He was born in an unusual time and to an unusual world. In the course of time and through hardships and oppression he was to hear the call of destiny. This man was to realize he has an appointment with destiny that he must keep come what may. He was to redefine his world and his country and give birth to a new nation. What could have happened had he failed to hear the call of destiny upon his life? Could he had lived a better life if he had acquiesced to a normal and ordinary life devoid of sensitivity to the unusual world in which he find destiny has wisely planted him?

      What could have happened to the shackled millions and their future? Maybe he realized he was the bearer of light that will lead the people out of the tunnel of darkness and oppression. So he persevered through twenty-seven years of imprisonment and utmost hardship. His will was tested; his course was his destiny which he could not abandon. What could have become of his generation had he failed? So ask yourself now, what would become of your own generation should you not understand your destiny and your purpose? Your destiny creates
