The Abrahamic Christian Tithing: Workbook
()
About this ebook
The study establishes the following lessons concerning the tithing of Abraham.
God had planned that Abraham will tithe before the creation of the universe
As the father of the Christian faith, God had worked in Abraham to tithe to Melchizedek to establish it as a unique type of giving by the church to the High Priestly Ministry of Christ
Affirming the fact that Abraham did not know and was not relating to Gods personal nature when he was initially brought to Canaan, the study also establishes the following lessons.
The tithing of Abraham was an indicator of Gods work in him, for the patriarch to know and to relate to His personal nature
In working in Abraham to tithe as an act of knowing and relating to Him personally, God was also establishing the fundamental principle of Christian tithingthat it will be by the principle of knowing and relating to God personally
Thus, the study benchmarks the spiritual growth that occurred in the life of Abraham following his tithing as the fundamental benefit of the practice of Christian tithing to the individual members of a local church. It shows us that Christian tithing is essentially a standardize way of giving by divine establishment that the church would utilize to cultivate personal relationship with God with the goal of growth in trust, love, and holiness to God.
With its unique perspective concerning the tithing of Abraham, the study comprehensively brings out unexplored spiritual benefits that God had ordained in the patriarch for the Church of Christ through tithing.

corn.jpgMy first acknowledgment goes to God, the Father of our Lord and savior, Jesus Christ. He gave me the insight into the tithing of Abraham, to see the tithing of the patriarch in the light of His work in his life to perfect his walk of faith with Him. He enabled me through the Holy Spirit to grasp the tithing of Abraham as a sacred act related to the High Priestly Ministry of Christ to the church with the attendance of Melchizedek, the priest of the Most High God.
I am indebted to the Holy Spirit, who yoked me into the writing of this literature, after being anointed with the holy oil by the ministry of Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams. My appreciation goes to Rev Dr. Jacob Sackey (General Overseer, Fresh Fire World-wide Ministries), who spiritually guided me in the writing of this book.
God caused my path to cross Pastor Mark Schulz, Lead Pastor atTrinity Lutheran Church in Lisle, Illinois over a decade ago, and his generous support of prayers and other resources to my ministry have been such a great blessing to me.
I owe much gratitude to Dr. David Donkor for the robust discussions that fine tuned the intellectual and theological conclusions in this book. And the same goes to my great brother, Dr. Isaac Ashie, who first reviewed this work meticulously.
My deep gratitude to my Pastor, Gaius Gborglah, and my sisters, Reverend Olivia Dotse, Georgina Assasie-Oppong, Cecilia Wendy Aboagye, and B Jayne; my son, Kwame Aggrey; and to my anointed Minstrel Bridget Wright who have supported me in prayers, spiritual counsel, and inspiration to finish this assignment from God.
Finally, being husband to Nana Ama and dad to Rachel and Derek warrants a big thank you to them for all their sacrifices that allowed me to complete this literature for the body of Christ.

corn.jpgIntroduction
This is your companion workbook to your study book titled The Abrahamic Christian Tithing: A Study book for the Church. It runs side by side with your study book to give you an easy and corresponding flow of your study. It is designed to help you obtain key lessons that are in the study book concerning the Abrahamic principles of tithing that God established with the patriarch, as the foundation to the practice of Christian tithing in local churches.
THE FORMAT OF THE WORKBOOK
The format of the workbook is twofold. A personal study guide and a group study guide. The personal study is a requirement for the group study on each chapter of the workbook. The personal study guide is designed to take at the least two weeks to complete each chapter of the workbook. The group study guide is also designed to take two weeks to complete each chapter of the workbook. Thus, a total of twenty-eight weeks is required to complete the entire workbook on the study of the Abrahamic Christian Tithing: A Study book for the Church. Building a strong foundation requires time and patience. That principle is required for this study in order to have strong foundational pillars concerning the Christian tithing that would launch the church into her golden age of spiritual and financial vitality.
Personal Study Guide
The personal study guide is designed to give you a simple and well structured self-study method of learning with clearly stated lesson objectives. The organization of the personal study guide is as follows:
Study Overview
The study overview provides you with a summary of what you’ll be learning from each chapter of the study book.
Study Requirement
The study requirement instructs you on what you must do as a preparation for what you’ll be learning from each chapter of the study book.
Study Objectives
The study objectives provide you with clear statements of what you will know, and be able to explain, and perspectives to be gained concerning the Abrahamic foundation and the practice of Christian tithing at the end of each chapter of the study book.
Lesson Notes
The lesson notes are usually a summary introduction to the main lesson that you’ll be learning in each section of the chapter of the study book
Exercises
The exercises are designed to get you to interact with each chapter of the study book. It is your main tool for digging out the principles, forming the perspectives, and gaining the knowledge and the understanding concerning the Abrahamic foundation and the practice of Christian tithing.
Quizzes
The quizzes are designed to ensure that you have well covered much of what you are to learn in each chapter of the study book.
Concluding Lessons
At the end of each chapter of the study is a concluding lesson that gives you a summary viewpoint of the overall implication and/or application of each of the Abrahamic aspects of Christian tithing.
Group Study Guide
The organization of the group study guide is as follows:
Group Size
I recommend a maximum number of twelve family members of God as the ideal group size for the group study. Relatively, twelve is not too small and it is not too big to achieve good group study outcomes.
Group Facilitator
As a group facilitator you carry the responsibility to keep the discussions moving and ensuring that each person in the group is actively participating in the studies.
While you are not essentially lecturing or teaching, as a facilitator you will need to be quite versed in the content of the study book so that you will be prepared confidently to guide the group discussions and to handle other questions that emerge during the studies.
The Setting for the Group Study
The location for the group study may take place in a classroom at church. Multiple group studies may also take place in a large and spacious room. Please note that it is helpful for indoor learning activities when the room temperature is normal.
Group Study Questions
The group study questions are open ended. They are designed to stimulate in-depth discussions for participants to draw out foundational lessons concerning the implications and applications of the tithing of Abraham to the practice of Christian tithing.
Head Start
It will be extremely helpful for the leader of the group study to give its participants a month’s head start to complete their personal study for the first two chapters of the workbook before starting the group study discussions. It is important for the leader to keep reminding participants to continue having their personal studies for the next chapters as soon as a group study discussion begins.
THINGS TO REMEMBER
LightBulb.jpgStudy to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15, KJV
A Valuable Comment from Rick Warren
One reason most books don’t transform us is that we are so eager to read the next chapter, we don’t pause and take the time to seriously consider what we have just read. We rush to the next truth without reflecting on what we have learned.
