About Our Bible Study Guide

Strip Off the World's Illusion of God

If you've ever asked yourself "What is sin? What is righteousness?" and have not found the answer through traditional activities like going to church, this Bible study guide is for you. Without a proper understanding of His teachings, you are unable to live the righteous life God planned for you making it much easier to succumb to a life of sin. Sometimes, it takes times of great adversity for a person to be stripped of these illusions of God that traditional spiritual practices create. Denise Snow, author of "Seeking Truth," has gone through tremendous challenges and her eyes have been opened to things of God. She has heard the voice of God and is now sharing how you can open yourself to God's will to live a life of happiness and success. Too many people fall for the false image of God which prevents them from seeing who He truly is and hearing His voice in their lives.

Seek and You Shall Find

This guide is meant to be your companion in discovering the Bible so that you may live your life in accordance with God's word and teachings.

Appropriately entitled "Seeking Truth," this book is for the seeker in all of us. Man is too imperfect for us to rely on other people's interpretation of the bible as truth.

Let this book inspire you to open your eyes to the message of God's love in the scripture. Through this book, anyone can learn how to make sense of scripture. It offers:

A question-and-answer Bible study framework A user-friendly guide that tackles the Bible verse by verse A specific focus on the Old Testament for a more in-depth understanding

Returning to Genesis

The book of Genesis is much richer than you might think. Genesis is remembered by children for its wondrous stories of creation, God's power, and man's original sin.

However, this understanding of the first book of the Bible may be riddled with false interpretations influenced by traditional institutions.

This guide starts by returning to Genesis to take you on a journey of truth and discovery, free of the false notions.

Author

Denise D. Snow

Denise Snow believes that people are born with a purpose; sent to earth by God to fulfill it. From her youth she would cry out to God because she faced so much adversity. “Why am I here?” As an adult, one of her darkest times was when she was so financially burdened, after the birth of her twins. She picked coins off the ground not just to make it through the day, but to reflect on the coins statement, “In God We Trust.” After hearing the voice of God, she is now a freelance writer for Him. At that time, God stripped the world’s illusions’ of Him and exposed Denise to who He really is. God moved Denise from being stuck in tradition, as a church member of a Mega Church in Atlanta, Georgia to being the spiritual woman that she is today.

    INTRODUCTION

Throughout the study guide, readers will see the acronym RTB. It stands for, Read the Bible, and it is a reminder to hold onto God’s words. Reading the Bible will bring major breakthroughs to a person’s life. Use this guide as a tool to demonstrate how. The apostle writes in 2 John 10–11 that if anyone comes to you bringing a message that is not the doctrine of Christ, don’t receive it and don’t encourage it! The passage goes on to say that if you do, you are participating in evil. Mark 7:13 states that when one is stuck in tradition, then God’s Word has no effect. Some churches and religious groups have blinded people from seeing God’s true love by distorting God’s Word. Throughout this multiple-choice, self-help, question-and-answer study guide, you will discover, without re- course to traditional religious views, the shocking truths about what God has really said in His Word. You must take the first step and read the Scriptures yourself. Use this study guide as a reminder to RTB and not hold on to past religious views. As you do, divinely revealed knowledge and answers will arise from these pages by God’s will alone.

Paul reminds us, But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds (2 Corinthians 4:3–5).Why do people act like they can’t understand the Bible on their own? Eileen Caddy, spiritual teacher, once said,

I would never say that hearing this voice within, as I hear it, is the only way of experiencing God. It isn’t, because everybody has a different way. That’s just my way of doing it. God is within everyone, Do you not realize that you have within you all wisdom, all knowledge, all understanding? You do not have to seek it without, but you have to take time to be still and to go deep within to find it. Many souls are too lazy or feel that there is so much to be done that they have no time to be still and go into the silence. They prefer to live on someone else’s wisdom and knowledge instead of receiving it direct from the source themselves.¹

Proof that God will reveal truth, wisdom, and knowledge to an individual can be read in Matthew’s gospel.

He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it (Matthew 16:15–18).

God has built the church on revealed knowledge by God and those who believe in Christ, the Son of the living God. According to 2 Corinthians 4:3–5, the gospel of Jesus Christ is hidden to those who are lost, who believe not because their minds have been blinded by other influences. The meaning of lost is to be led astray. Jesus never built a brick-and-mortar church. The church, the assembly, which Jesus Christ built, was a body of believers who believed he is the Son of the living God, and the gates of hell cannot prevail or triumph against us.

Read Luke 4:16–20 Jesus went into the synagogue, the assembly, opened the Bible, and read the plan and purpose for his life and then sat down! Notice he read the Bible literally. Jesus spoke of those in the synagogue as hypocrites and heathens in (Matthew 6:2 and 6:7). He went onto say they have their reward. Jesus said he had come to preach deliverance to
