He never worried about being anywhere because he had nowhere to be. This toad thought his life was wonderful and it should not be taken seriously. To him It was all tried and true until he met someone who, though not tactfully, eventually changed his way of thinking.

Vastine East story telling was inspired by his late mother Fern’s nightly story telling when he was a boy. He studied at the Institute of Children’s Literature. He was inspired to publish “Masai Man” as an illustrated children book from the encouraging of the Institute of Children’s Literature instructor, Virginia Castleman and later followed by three exhilarating dream fulfilled visits to Africa. He lives in Houston, Texas with his wife Yvette M. East. Special thanks go to Lorena Birk for the breath taking illustrations.
