The author has published a number of adult historical fiction books but finds a unique pleasure in creating juveniles designed for little girls. It was fun to relive the real and imagined pleasure of her own childhood with native animals and the woodland's great climbing trees...along with sketching remembered scenes. Toss in a couple dozen "cousins" visiting for the summer, stir in a voracious reader in the form of her great-granddaughter, Madison Ann, and you have a perfect formula for fun. Eight year old Madison is busily accumulating her own ideas and skills, and could there someday be a twin to the adventures of the Wildwood Village Summer?
