About this ebook

Introducing a new holistic paradigm that provides a clear new pair of lens - for the mind. This new concept depolarizes our perceptions on reality by reconciling the ancient and deeply compelling paradox known as dualism. As it unravels the greatest mystery of our existential lives, that great enigma that in spirituality led us from “all good”, to good & evil; and in science, leads to two laws that we cannot reconcile. However, with this new pair of depolarizing lens, we are able to conceive something quite remarkable, space, time and how existing things are formed in it.

This book is very relevant because it is antidote to the social and political ills of our societies. The polarization inherent in our present paradigm creates social diseases such as sexism, racism, wars, and the myriad forms of hate we tend to indulge in. We daily confront the ravages of political neglect that we are forced to bear, as we try to cope with these corrupted ways of being. The benefit of this new holistic paradigm is that it provides a logical, science-based understanding that is so obvious and universal, we are essentially oblivious to it; and, it resolves the greatest paradoxes we face as spiritual beings in a materialistic world. This book promotes well-being for the soul in the evolution of the mind.

• Reveals the origin of the invisible field we call Space(Time)
• Explains how existing things emerge and form into being
• Sheds whole new light on the meaning of GOD
• Reconciles the divides between Eastern and Western traditions in religion, science, and philosophy
• Bridges Dualism (Separation & Polarization)
• Self Actualization Meditations (“I AM ‘Mind’, I AM ‘Consciousness’”)

INTRODUCTION

E very good book must contain its own reward. I hope that this book proves to be a truly unique and interesting read. Our Curious World of Mirror Images introduces a new paradigm that provides a holistic explanation of how the universe and everything in it, exists. This new paradigm is called positional symmetry (requisite mirror image) . Positional symmetry (requisite mirror image) is a conceptual framework—a means whereby we are able to see how existing things come into being. It is a very abstract concept and thus difficult to apprehend. However, because it is based in such general principles and universally applicable, it will prove to be very helpful to those who are in search for meaning in life. Are you a seeker of truth? Do you remain curious and open to seeking wisdom even in the 21 st century; then read on.

My greatest challenges are effective communication of an esoteric concept, the possibility that I may be sincere but misguided, and also social forces that perpetuate ignorance out of fear. I have been developing this theory since the mid 1980’s when, shortly after my initial college years, I began to experience inspiring thoughts that were profound to me. Simultaneously, I received corroborating evidence from reality. The synchronicity of events along with the consciousness of these inspired insights so impacted me that I took what I was experiencing very seriously and over the years I researched and developed these meaningful and insightful thoughts, ultimately seeking a foundation to stand on.

We are in the year 2013 by the time of the publishing of this unique book and over these years I have held onto and developed these concepts that inspired me so very long ago, leading me to think very differently, in the hope of living a more fulfilling life.

In the intervening years, I had opportunity to supplement that inspired insight by completing my formal education which began early in pre-med but ends in philosophy and counseling. During this process, I earned a bachelor of arts in philosophy with a minor in religious studies, and a master’s degree in counseling.

After reading this book, you will be in position to conceptualize not just our amazing and magnificent, transparent universe, in a whole new way, but in addition, you will be able to use positional symmetry (requisite mirror image) as a means to conceptualize how all phenomena manifests and exists in reality.

This assertion seems grandiose. I can only say that it is what it is. I offer no apologies, nor do I, to the best of my conscious mind, harbor grandiose delusions. In humility, and I say this as a caveat; as a counselor, I have worked with individuals with serious delusions, generally they are not able to discern delusional thoughts from reality. Therefore I challenge you to read the contents of this book so that you may judge for yourself.

I am open to finding truth regardless of its source. It is reasonable to conclude that we all need a true foundation. This, as I see it, is the meaning in the word ‘understanding.’ We are all in need of a foundation in understanding regardless of socioeconomic status, race, culture or any other accident of birth, because, life compels us to the pursuit of happiness and more abundance in life.

As to the veracity of the contents of this book, I have included a preponderance of scientific evidence throughout, so that you will be informed and able to judge for yourself.

I sincerely understand, even after a quarter-century of critical analysis and real intellectual and personal challenges, that positional symmetry (requisite mirror image) deserves serious consideration.

Because of my confidence derived from formal education, intensive research, and personal experiences, I am willing to write this provocative statement:

If you are serious about your life and read this book with an open and thoughtful mind, you will experience signs in your personal reality that will confirm for you—in your own private views—that this new paradigm is real and thus meaningful to your life. Your way of thinking may even change as a consequence of experiencing meaningful perceptions affirming the knowledge disclosed in this book.

The Beauty of Symmetry

Positional symmetry (requisite mirror image) is a concept that involves symmetry and mirror images. Of course, mirror images are a type of symmetry. Mirror image symmetry is so prevalent in our world, so ubiquitous that we have become desensitized to it so we overlook it.

Symmetry can be observed from the outside of animals to deep within, such as in the face of this owl, or the vertebrae of a cow. This type of symmetry is known as bilateral symmetry. From seeds, nuts and eggs, to the plants or animals they produce, and even the planets that harbor life; from primitive organisms to the most advanced creatures, one side is typically a mirror image of the other, albeit, not always a perfect one. From the veins on a leaf of a tree or the veins and arteries in animals, to the skeleton and even the brains of living sentient beings, life exudes symmetry everywhere. It appears that nature frames its works using mirror images.

Mirror image symmetry is often cited as a signifier of beauty in humans. We are generally drawn to partners who have faces that that are more symmetrical. It is as though somewhere in our DNA, we follow an instruction to seek the very symmetry exemplified in the intricate designs and workings of this same DNA.

We not only seek the beauty of mirror image symmetry in our partners but in the manufactured products we consume. Our homes tend to be filled with symmetrical objects such as windows, sinks, bathtubs, chairs, tables, beds, lamps, art, even the cars we drive, all display mirror image symmetry.

Of course, mirror image symmetry is not the only type of symmetry. Mirror image symmetry is based on the concept of one side being ‘handed’ to reflect the other, but many things have rotational symmetry such as a simple flower, a snowflake, a honeycomb cell or a starfish, where a mirror image can be seen even when the object rotates.

The symmetries of spirals appear to be ubiquitous in nature, from the double helix of DNA molecules to the Fibonacci patterns found in the head of a sunflower or the shell of a snail. Whether exhibiting rotational symmetry or spirals, all these manifestations of nature display mirror image properties.

The flowers, leaves, fruit and seeds of the breadfruit tree (left) and the pineapple bud (right) exemplify rotational symmetry.

45450.png

Plants such as the buttercup flower (left), and orchid (right), display rotational types of symmetries. There is a balance and harmony in the symmetry of the universe that we instinctively appreciate and seek, even if we do not understand it.

Science, for example, seeks to understand the laws of nature through mathematical equations. Equations are symmetries because one side of the equation is equal to the other. It is no coincidence then that our world has such an abundance of symmetries when the laws of science that apply across the universe are framed as elegant equations of symmetry.

This Hubble space telescope image details what a supernova event looks like from a distant scale. Why does this cataclysmic event, which in this example happens to be the explosion of a star in the Eta Carinae solar system, appear to be so symmetrical?

Symmetries are not just limited to our own immediate world. It appears that symmetries have been ever present, from the Big Bang and throughout the cosmos. Were the prevalence of these symmetries a byproduct of cataclysmic events, or, did they actually cause those events that led to our existence?

The Paradox in Consciousness

This new paradigm that I call positional symmetry (requisite mirror image), or PSRMI, initiated me on a course toward philosophical inquiry into the nature of reality. I was 24 years old, educated, earnest and driven. The world was heading into the ’90’s and then a new millennium. Curiously, I became a philosopher of the 21st century.

My change in consciousness occurred when, for the first time in my life, seemingly profound thoughts began to enter my mind, anytime, anywhere. Today I would say from my subconscious mind, though when it occurs it’s completely spontaneous.

The awareness and awakening to PSRMI came to me in three separate eureka moments. First came positional symmetry, and then came requisite mirror image, followed by our universe.
