Introduction
During my mountaintop and valley experiences the Holy Spirit pressed upon me to pen sweet whispers as the Lord uttered them to me. I could not understand the whispers from God in my dry times but I was determined to obey the voice of the Holy Spirit. We must be able to mount up with wings like eagles but we must also know how to come down. The pressures of life felt like hot wax had been applied to my very bones. It took the absolute power of the Holy Spirit for me to read the bible, pray, witness, fellowship and to meditate on the word of God. God allowed me to exercise the power of my will and use the strength which was given to me at regeneration. The power lied in the coming down out of the mountain and how I lived in the valley. I could see God’s glory on the mountain top but I could not live for His glory there. I had to be discipline to exercise my faith and not to continue operating in realm of my emotions. I would hear the whispers from God during my driest times, weakest moments, hurtful days and painful events. Since I have been going from the mountaintop to the valley and vice-versa they have become as one. Now I understand that the just shall live by faith and not by emotions or sight.
My individuality has been broken and my spirit has been united with my Lord, not just merged into Him, but made one with Him. I know our relationship will never end. I know now that being a child of God is the absolute greatest privilege in life. The greatest challenge for a believer is becoming more like Christ. Each day He is transforming his children into His image and this glorifies God. I am learning to enjoy Jesus which makes it easier to glorify Him. I had to deny myself, obey the
