    I became interested in the Forex markets in 2002 after attending a stock trading meeting at a private residence. One guy announced that he had made a killing by trading the Yen against the US dollar. Who knew that the individual on the street could even trade currencies? Up until then, it was only the banks or wealthy individuals with access to this type of trading. A whole new industry was born. At first there weren't many reputable brokers around, their platforms were unreliable, spreads were huge and the internet was dial up. Forums popped up and 'trading gurus' appeared.  There was money to be made by those who were were smart at the time, either by straddling the news releases or exploiting the carry trade. But brokers also got smarter and either shut these advantages down or created trading conditions that made it difficult to profit from. My problem was, I listened to too many so called 'gurus' and got caught up in all the hype. Always thinking they were smarter than me as their systems were complex, and therefore must be better than anything I could come up with. So for a few years, I bounced around different systems, blowing accounts and giving back profits I had managed to make. There were good times and bad times, but I never gave up. I soon realized that some of the 'gurus' were the real deal, and started to pay attention to them to see what they had to offer. I became smarter with my money management, got out of the day trading habit and generally simplified my trading methods so they were easy to implement and explain. I have also dabbled with building my own trading robots with mixed success and use them at times to assist me with my trading. I now make a living from trading Forex, mainly off the 4hr or Daily charts. My systems are simple and profitable overall. I love trading Forex and I see it as having a huge potential to make some serious income. It is not as easy as some would make you believe, but if you keep it simple, control your money management, and be consistent, then there is no reason that you too shouldn't succeed in the world of Forex trading.       Sometimes a scripture reference may be placed in a sentence with no explanation. It is there so you can look it up and see for yourself how it applies to you the subject being discussed.

      Several scriptures and quotes are used more than once and that is on purpose. They hold particular significance exactly when and where they are used.

      James 1:2-4 is quoted or referred to at least half a dozen times. Do not underestimate its importance.

      Several hymns are used and while punctuation, capitalization and spelling may seem strained at best or incorrect at worst, it is the way the lyrics are arranged with the music.

      I have felt all my books to be inspired in that at the very least God told me to write them, or at the most, He has directed every word. So much of what I’ve written, came as the result of simply taking pen in hand and not knowing what would come of it. I know that sounds strange, but that is how God speaks to me.

      Unlocking Your Spiritual Greatness was five years in the writing and one in the publication. God’s Answer was written in a year, but it took five years to get around to publication.

      A Place of Faith broke the mold for me. From the time God gave me the title, which I inadvertently used in a sentence was less than 6 weeks to publication.

      I have to acknowledge the indwelling of God’s Holy Spirit during a time in my life when I was searching for answers and direction. Within minutes of hearing the words, a place of faith, I knew it was a title, I had an outline and then I was off and running. It asked a very real question and I needed the answer.

      God will individually impress upon you, direct you and lead you, He will speak to you through many different situations. That time and method are sacred, and we need to learn what it is and pay attention.

      Introduction

      What or where is the Place of Faith? Is it a physical location or building? No, the Place of Faith is where we are when we step or leap into the unknown in blind, yet obedient faith. It is the time and place when we are absolutely counting on God’s ability zone to exceed our comfort zone. It is when we do not lean on our own understanding and we are trusting God instead of ourselves, because that’s all that’s left.

      Our Christian vocabulary or vernacular is filled with ideas, quotes and even promises from God that are meant to remind us of the wonderful plans He has for us. If not His wonderful plan, His divine escape route that will snatch us up from certain disaster. I’ve written two books on those subjects, they are real and can be believed, yet there is more.

      As real as God’s Word is, what happens when all the talk and platitudes and even promises have been recalled and rehearsed and we find ourselves scared and alone at the Place of Faith?

      What happens when we face a Goliath, or find ourselves in a lion’s den? Where is the escape route when it feels like we are in a fiery furnace? Paul was run out of town, stoned, shipwrecked, snake-bitten and imprisoned, but we probably will not face those problems.

      What happens when there are family issues, illness, job situations and the fears that we face in the 21st Century? What happens when even with all our knowledge, understanding and even pride, we find ourselves knocked to our knees at the Place of Faith?

      I want to answer the questions that will help you and help you now. Why? Not because I’m so smart, but because I need the answers myself. God has equipped me, in fact, gifted me with the ability to write. That’s not completely true. He has gifted me with the ability to put on paper thoughts that come from Him to me. That is the way He speaks to me, I take pen in hand, with no preconceived notion and a word becomes a phrase and then an outline. A line of thought comes and sounds better to me than anything I had ever thought about before. God speaks to all of us and in different ways. We need to discover that for ourselves and tap into His thoughts. He may reveal Himself through prayer, meditation, encouragement from others, time alone or simply while walking around the block. However it is, we need to know how to seek Him while He may be found. (Isaiah 55:6)

      You can listen to teachers and preachers, you can read books and go to Bible studies but God wants more. We have to understand right here and now that the Bible is His thoughts and words and they have been recorded for our own good. Paul says in II Timothy 3:16, the Bible is useful for teaching correction and reproof. That means we can believe and depend on it for advice. I will be quoting from and paraphrasing the Bible many times. These quotes are included for two purposes. First, to validate the point I am making. Secondly, to draw you into the word of God so the truths may be revealed to you as they have to me.
