Preface
LOVE. The one word used and abused daily. As a deep thinker, I am always wondering what that four letter word means. How that four letter word has so much power between two individuals who share the same feeling. Love is driven by so many emotions that we may lose track of what we are really feeling. Sometimes we cannot even put our feelings into words. We can also be torn between the thoughts going through our mind and what lays deep inside of our heart. No one knows what love is, but everyone has their own opinions as to what they should feel when they love
someone.
When building anything, you always need a solid foundation. The same concept goes for love. A lasting relationship needs to be built on a few key things such as trust and communication. When you pave a smooth path for each other by strengthening these key features in your foundation, you are only bound to grow stronger. A lot of the time you see couples growing apart and the main reason is that their foundation was set up shaky from the start.
But in everyday relationships with couples, why is it that the relationship can quickly turn from love
to hate? It goes to show that these two failed setting up their foundation. How is the tree of love supposed to grow when it is upheld by weak roots? The truth is, it will not. It will unfortunately fall apart in time.
Some people do not know the difference between loving someone and being infatuated by them. Sometimes we are drawn by lust, thinking we really want this person and love
them, when in fact we are driven by the wrong emotion. It is so difficult to find those with true feelings, driven by the right motives. It seems everyone tries to change each other to mold them into someone they would love. But if you truly love the person, you should accept them as they are.
I believe you must first master who you are, your desires, and what you stand for before you allow someone into your life. The wrong love
happens when you are still learning who you are and begin dating someone who is also in that designated gray area. At that point, you are left in a dilemma.
