    About the Author

I was born on February 17th 1974 to Donna Marie Hathaway and Timothy Eugene Carr in Louisville Ky. I am the second oldest of six children. After my father walked out on my mom I had to take the role of helping my mother with my brother and sister, it was a tough job but it prepared me for the life to come. At age thirteen I moved out of my mom’s house and embarked on my own journey to adulthood. At the age of eighteen I fathered my first child Donte (my only begotten son), my second child Evelyn was born a year later. Two years later I fathered JA Talyah, Jai’Leigh was born a couple years afterward. I took on the role of fathered to Jai Leigh’s maternal sister Jessica. As I journed through this world I came across a lot of obstacles on my way. I can remember one night as I was sitting I the front seat of my car I was contemplating suicide I cried out " God if you are real please give me a sign cause Lord I am tired)! The very next day I got a visit from an old friend and he introduced me to a woman who planted the seed of God in me. I was in deep depression at that point in my life. I got baptized the next Sunday and went off to fight in the war in Iraq. When I came back from war I lost my family because I was stuck in battle mode and I could not find my way, simply put I was lost. I lost my home, car, sense of reality. My pastor set me up in a program way out in Georgetown Ky so I can get a fresh start there is where I met and fell in love with my wife Brittany Marie Hathaway and her beautiful daughter Adrena. We lost contact with each other and by coincidence met back up in the oddest of places, We started a life with each other and had a beautiful little girl named Treasure Lynae Hathaway have been homeless and jobless but through my struggle I always kept my eyes lifted to the Lord for His guidance. I wrote this book as an inspiration to everyone who is going through a storm. If God can take me through it and bring me out dry on the other side He shall do the same thing for you.

    Special dedications

I dedicate this book to all six of my beautiful children,my beautiful wife, my brother and sister, my beautiful granddaughters Naya and Lai Lai, and to everyone who has walked with me on my journey to get where I am today . Last but definitely not least Rest In Heaven to my brother and friend Christopher Welch
