FOREWORD
MEN OF MERIT AND VIRTUE HAVE BEEN THRUST INTO THE BACKGROUND, WHILE SYNCOPHANTS AND MEN LACKING ON MORAL STATURE HAVE COME TO OCCUPY POSTIONS OF POWER AND STATUS.
JOHN JEFFERSON HAMILTON, ESQ.
The poems in this work are a humble attempt to explore our human search for meaning and purpose.

Isn’t it amazing how beautiful people come and go in this world,
How they affect your life in so many ways,
How everything they do was to please you,
You have always known how much they care.
Sweet Grandma…
When I think of her I feel,
a warn soft hand brushing against my face
The smell of her I could just close my eyes and almost see her.
When I hear the rain I hear her whispering to me so softly
everything will be ok… and it is.
Her making me laugh when I thought I could never smile.
Her taking my side over dads always.
I smell a freshed cooked meal I can’t wait to eat.
I feel her squeezing me so tight I’d do anything for her not to let me go.
I think
she finally got what she wanted
to be at peace, to feel no pain, to be able to watch over us an guide us to where
we need or want to be.
Now
Instead of us being strong for her, she is being so strong for all of us.
My sweet sweet Grandma I miss her so much.
No one could ever live as hard as life as her,
and still have a smile on their face the next morning.
My grandma is
FLYING
like an angel soaring through the air
blowing the wind on my face,
she is beautiful.
but,
when the rain stops
were all stuck wondering what happens next…
When I say a little prayer in my heart
I suddenly realize Grandmas here now
an everything will be alright…
So Grandma here’s a kiss and a hug from me to you
now since you died before I did your in heaven
waiting for me once again.
I Love You
Grandma
