Preface

A conglomerate of university and college students in Kumasi, Ghana, had invited me as keynote speaker to usher them into year 2001 on the last night of December 2000. It was planned to be a prophetic all-night service at which I would deliver anointed motivational, prophetic messages to inspire those hard-working students to a forward-looking state of mind. So, I was fully prayed up and saturated with what I believed was an apt forward momentum message. My favorite audience had always been student bodies and I was determined to give them the best God had to offer for the night.

As time for my introduction inched closer, I was in the waiting area pacing and worshipping to maintain the aura of divine anointing. Then it happened! I heard the caption "Chapters of Destiny clearly announced in my head as though via an internal amplifier in my brain. I was riveted and captivated by the messages that followed the caption as it played out graphically in my imagination. The words and concepts seemed to dance before my eyes. I knew there and then that God had changed the message I had originally prepared to deliver that night. There was no time to write a sermon or research the bible to build a logical, flowing message captioned Chapters of Destiny." So I opted to rely on the Holy Spirit as the announcer bellowed my name and the audience came alive with rapturous applause.

Enamored by the hot message God had just released, I rushed out on stage energetically, grabbed the mike and hollered my breaking news titled Chapters of Destiny for some five minutes as the equally fired-up audience thundered after me. I preached and prophesied on this subject for approximately two hours with the crowd standing on their feet. When it was all over, the fist-bump of the night was the catch-phrase Chapters of Destiny. There was no dry eye in the audience as hands shot up in the air, voices making new vows to God and souls drooped in submission asking God for empowerment to fulfill the book. And it became one of the best and most inspiring messages I ever preached.

On my way home, the Holy Spirit told me to write the messages down and to make it available to humanity, especially to the juveniles, youths, college/university students and young adults. I scribbled all over my bible until no space was left to write more. I was not disciplined enough to sit down and develop the outlines I preached over the subsequent years into a book as originally instructed. However, in 2013, I finally sat down to transform these revealed words into a final written manuscript, which I believe will inspire you to fulfill the book of your destiny. I want you to know that every event in your life is a part of the chapters of your destiny and you must consciously live to understand, master and strategically fulfill the chapters of destiny.

Introduction

Then said I, See, I come (in the volume of the book it is written of me,) to do your will, O God. Hebrews 10:7

Destiny is like a book. Every chapter represents a phase of suspenseful experiences previously un-encountered. Each chapter is deemed a task or series of tasks that must be accomplished by you in a life span. Every page of each chapter is pregnant with events whose end we know not until we live them out. The words, the lines, the paragraphs all join in one accord to present in unison a packaged journey to a climactic outcome.

One chapter alone does not tell the story of an entire book. One page does not define the aim of the author. The last chapter can only be understood by following the progression of thought in preceding chapters. Together, the chapters of your destiny combine to produce an unforgettable story which gives fulfillment to both the author and the readers. The author is God, and your readers are fellow humans whose lives will be impacted by the chronicles of your life. But, note that every book has a beginning and an end. And so does destiny.

Yes, destiny is in chapters. Some chapters are good, but others are bad. However, the author of each destiny intends for us to understand that no chapter should be taken in isolation from the rest.

You owe a duty to understand the nature of your destiny, the contents of each chapter of your destiny, how to respond to and manage the events of each chapter, and to know when to turn the page to open a new chapter in pursuit of your destiny fulfillment.

Here, I have taken the pains to document the probable and most common events that constitute the chapters of each destiny book. Using some cardinal events from the life of our lord Jesus Christ, I have constructed most likely or probable scenarios you will encounter in life. These events or chapters may not unfold in any particular order therefore I have arranged them as they occurred to my imagination when I preached to audiences. Further, since each destiny is unique, the events of each destiny are diverse in nature, context, time of occurrence and duration. But the underlying factor is that we mirror our Lord Jesus Christ’s experiences.

A mirror Image

Examining destiny through the lens of the birth, life & death of the Christ provides us with a mirror image of life as designed by God, our Maker. This is so because the totality of the brief life of the Lord Jesus Christ on earth contains every bit of the phases of experiences a believer will encounter during a life span here on earth.

Therefore, the Chapters of Destiny delves deep into the cardinal events of the life of our Lord in order to extract the master keys which will help us to master our existence so as to fulfill our destinies satisfactorily. If you truly desire to impact generations as forcefully as Jesus Christ did, then explore with me on this journey of self-discovery and consequent destiny-mastery.

black.jpg    Welcome to planet earth. You have arrived to a rowdy and uncertain existence where natural and supernatural forces combine to seek your destruction. This is a universe of limitless possibilities, challenges, lows and highs to which you have been ushered in. Welcome to daylight and darkness. You are one with us in this inclement but exciting place where God once became human like us, lived among us, tried to help us, but got kicked out and killed by us.

This same place and descendants of the people that killed God are waiting and ready to deal same fate to those sent here on a divine mission. You are here on a mission, but the world you were born to bless will try to chain, change, challenge, or destroy you. But you came to conquer. You are here to win and so there is no compromise to a winning agenda. My mission then is to show you how to win decisively through the satisfactory fulfillment of the chapters of your destiny.

Pursuant to your victory agenda I will equip you by showing you your real identity or source of being, why you are here and where you’re headed next. Then I will escalate to reveal to you how to defy the threats to your forward momentum, how you can master yourself, manage destiny and depart this world in a victorious blaze of glory and honor. I will guide you in an unusual journey in which you will learn the peculiar strategies which you must deploy in order to plant your footprints indelibly in the sands of time.

In the Chapters of Destiny God is using me to arm you with preemptive understanding of the events unfolding in your life and their importance in the general framework of your destiny or calling in life. And with such understanding comes the wisdom to respond in precise and smart ways culminating in the elimination of disappointing failures and frustrations which encumber lives exposed to random, unmanaged existence. Those precise and smart ways are the tools you need to fulfill the chapters of your destiny and I have them all lined up for you in a strategic and proper manner here. I am confident that the Chapters of Destiny is your roadmap to a life well spent on earth.

Chapter of You-Genesis

Genesis is the origin or mode of formation of anything. The beginning of life is the genesis of such life, just as the beginning of the Bible is the book of genesis which narrates the beginning of everything, including humans. So, you must understand and appreciate your origin and settle in your heart with finality that you were either personally created by a loving Almighty God or that you are a being of chance.

Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals, and over all the creatures that move along the ground. So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. Genesis 1: 26-27

This is the generally accepted story of the beginning of the human race. It is the story of all of us. Your uniqueness is traceable to your origin. As a creationist I wish to propose to you that the first prototype humans were personally designed and expertly manufactured by God as told in the story quoted supra. Since I am a Biblicist, it is unnecessary here to delve into the philosophical and theological arguments between creationists and evolutionists.

black.jpg    But as a summation of my view, I am for the proposition that creation is a divine science far superior to the best scientific attainments of humanity up till now, therefore it is not a faith-induced assumption per se. Thus, while contemporary empirical scientists of the atheist kind may entrench themselves in the evolution hypothesis which they try to piece together with so many strands of missing links, we creationists belong to the highest scientific school of thought which is far beyond empirical analysis at the present time.

When empirical science basks on predictable formulae, analysis and conclusions, divine science presents a yet-to-be-fathomed science. And we, the spiritual people, considering the lack of natural explanations from human scientists, would accept divine acts as credible science of the highest kind.

And all we are saying is that even though the mechanics and methodologies of divine science are far beyond human deciphering capabilities, the results compel us to accept them as genuine even if we do so by faith. Thus, creation is a superior science compared to the fairy tale of evolutionists.

black.jpg    My message to you then is that you are a product of the excellent mind of God when he thought about making humans. You existed in God’s mind. God is the center of excellence and the epicenter of all knowledge and wisdom. So, since humans existed in his mind prior to creation, his supreme wisdom, knowledge and intelligence rubbed off on us. Therefore never say I am not smart because you are naturally smart, wise, full of knowledge and saturated with divine intelligence known as the mind of Christ. In fact, you were born excellent.

Further, God’s hand formed the humans. Male and female he made them in his image and in his likeness. Therefore, you were made great physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. You are born to exercise mastery and dominion. The perfect hands of God made you perfect. Don’t let anyone convince you otherwise. You are beautiful. You are handsome.

God did not discriminate between the genders. He made them at the same time, from the same materials, with his own hands. Therefore you are not inferior to anyone whether male or female. No one is better than you. Claim your place and bragging rights.

black.jpg    Moreover, skin color played zero part in God’s design. God’s creative mind and hands are color-blind. He made the colors in creation and they all serve his lofty purposes. All skin colors exist because God made them so or permitted nature to play on them. Therefore let no one convince you that the color of your skin makes you inferior to them in anyway, because you are inferior to none. God loves all colors and does not dispense his gifts, power and glory based on skin color.

This is your genesis. God is your beginning, your origin, your maker. And since God made you in His image and likeness, apparently he wants you to be like him in the exercise of power, dominion and glory in your generation. He wants you to represent him in your world and among your peers. God would like you to take charge and exhibit divine authority as your chapter of destiny unfurls for the benefits to inure to your world. You must live bold because you’re from God.

black.jpg    Times shall come as you live out your destiny in this universe when circumstances will lead you to question your origins. There will be times when everything will tempt you to conclude that you probably came from the devil or apes. Just remember that you’re not the only one to ever arrive at that strange crossroad or to face its disturbing and perplexing puzzles. Many humans before us faced those critical moments. I have been there many times when it seemed like our God was weak and powerless because I was weak, helpless and powerless in those moments.

However, remember also that those are fleeting moments which will pass like the gossamer pages of a book. Feel free to question your origins like the rest of us, but recapture your trust and believe in your origins like most of us
