    DEDICATION

This book is dedicated to Torrin King Eugene. Torrin came into this world already on 4th&inches. He was borne premature, and life started out on him early. Yet, for 26 days he looked fear in the eyes with courage. For 624 hours he went after life. Baby Torrin fought for 37,440 minutes, he never gave up. He took every bit of 2,246,400 seconds of his life and he proved what it is to be strong. I train to fight every day the greatest lesson I’ve ever been taught on the subject came by way of 26-day-old Torren King. My Greatest honor is the time I spent praying for Torrin, it was not merely that I came into the world in the same fashion, but Torrin reminded of what the fight is all about. With every breath he took, with every heartbeat, every fiber of his being he fought with the Love of our creator. Torrin fought for his piece in the Cross. He fought for his right to share in the resurrection. He was not satisfied with taking only one breath in the Love of Christ. No, he wanted every moment he could have spent on this earth fighting against all odds for that Love. My prayer is that we learn this fight. Dear Torrin, thank you for your warrior spirit. Gods’ great fighter.

    TORRIN STRONG.

    PREFACE

When I first started out in my Christian faith I remember looking across the church auditorium and thinking none of these people could possibly know or understand what I have been through. The world around me left me feeling alone in my struggles. Even in a room full of fellow believers I could not fathom moving past the damage life has caused me. The fact that I grew up without a mother made me believe that women could not be trusted. In fact I had no standard for myself on how I treated them. The amount of loss I had seen up to that point made me realize how important life was yet I was scared to live it. After my family lost our home I decided that going broke would never happen to me as an adult. The actions I took next would quickly lead to a life I never saw for myself. Lying about who I was and what I was doing to people I love in order to make quick cash. All the while I thought that it was the struggling times that threatened life. I would find through my faith and relationship with Christ that it was my fear of the struggle that threatened my life. Sitting in that church seven years ago as I questioned God I thought it was my struggle that separated me from others. Today through Christ Jesus I see it is our very suffering that unites us to him.

The title 4th&Inches represents the struggle. Prior to my career as a professional fighter
